The fight may occur during his period.

Did anyone read the article? The networks are holding this up, its not like Money May or Pacman can just tear up the contracts they have with them.

I honestly did not read the article, but in the end if they truly both wanted the fight to happen it would happen.

At this point I just feel like it is just attention-whoring.

Besides, both fighters are past their prime, Pac more so then Mayweather. I do not know that I would have any interest in this fight if they did have it.

How could you not want to fight for over 100 million dollars? Win or lose? Doesn't make sense at all

...you're right, no one needs their share of 100 million dollars.

Pac-man is the broke one.

Pac is broke?

Didn't know that.

Manny has agreed to everything Mayweather has asked and now Mayweather is making up something new. I think Mayweather would win, but Pacquiao has a better punchers chance against Money than most fighters he's faced. Pac has good speed and a very hard punch. Mayweather has probably the best speed and counter jab of any fighter ever.

Would be a good fight, Mayweather would get odds, but Pac would have a chance to sneak a hard blow to really rattle Money.

Damnit I want this fight to happen. Its a travesty to boxing and sports fans everywhere that it didn't happen 5 years ago.

Sucks that it has taken this many years to even make a movement on this.

Mayweather is a pussy. He knows Pac is likely the one fighter that could potentially take him out.

Mayweather knows that Pac is struggling financially and needs this fight in a bad way...so MM is waiting him out for more of the money...or just to assert his dominance. Either way, they are gonna mess around and wait too long and lose the big money deal because people have lost interest.

I have not watched a PPV fight in over 15 years. I think it was the last Holyfield-Tyson fight or something. I can't even remember.

I was planning on watching this one. That is how big it would be. I am not even a boxing fan but I would have watched this fight. Probably got some friends together to buy it on PPV.

So much money here. It is crazy that they Mayweather won't just fight him.

BTW, Manny isn't "broke." The Philippine IRS froze all of his accounts because they claimed he hadn't paid taxes on his US fights. There's a treaty between the US and the Philippines that prevent double taxation on earnings. Manny claims he paid the taxes in the US and shouldn't be taxed again.

At this point, I'm starting to hope it doesn't happen so Mayweather will have a big ole asterisk next to his name. He needs this fight to be in GOAT discussion. Pacman will literally be the first word out of the other person's mouth if the question is ever asked.

No one takes him seriously until he beats Manny, whether it's fair or not.

Well besides that, Freddie Roach says he's broke. But it's all hearsay. A lot of hearsay.

I don't really follow boxing all that much, but I do know that, Bob Arum has a long history of lying and cheating and is just all-around shady and untrustworthy.

Reading the article, it seems like all of the important information is provided by Arum. Knowing that he is untrustworthy, and obviosuly biased (which is understandable as Manny's promoter), how can anybody take his word for anything?

Shouldn't it be FM if you're going to abbreviate? And frick him. Nobody gives a shite which one of them has the title. It should absolutely be a 50/50 split. Both are equally going to draw attention to this fight.

No. Mayweather is the undefeated boxer in this matchup. While i agree Manny deserves more of the share than Mayweather's previous opp., he doesn't warrant a 50/50 split.

He is already in that. Canelo was supposed to be the next great fighter and May made him look like an amateur.

No matter his record, if he doesn't fight the second best fighter in his era, his legacy will be forever tainted, fair or not. The GOATs take on all challengers.

There are plenty of people who can beat Canelo.
