They currently own the best record in basketball (15-2), and are on an 11 game winning streak with an average margin of victory of 19 points. Only two of those 11 games have been decided by single digits. Threw a couple 35+ point wins in there just for good measure.

Kevin Durant is also having a very underrated incredible season averaging around 27, 8, and 5, with his lowest usage rate since he's been in the league (shooting 57% from field, 45% from 3). I guess he might turn out to be a good addition after all.

They did the same after Lebron's return to the Cavs started slow.

Who was freaking out? Any reasonable person knows they just needed a little bit of time to gel.

Warriors are very good, obviously. They've also played a very soft stretch of games. I'm excited to see how they do against Dwight Howard tonight

Happened when Lebron initially went to the Heat as well. I think they started 8-8 or something similar. New teams just take a little while to gel, but the Warriors have clearly gotten over that extremely quickly.

I knew they were going to get it together. It was fun to just pile on them bc that was the only time this season that they are going to play like that.

Now they are going to be the team we all expected them to be.

I don't think people were freaking out about what their regular season record would be or if Durant was good at basketball.

We'll have to wait and see what happens, but the playoffs are a completely different animal. Teams will play them harder and be more physical with them. And different things happen with matchups when you're playing a team 5-7 times in a row.

And I don't know if anybody will agree with this, but I feel like teams don't feel like chasing them around in regular season games. Obviously they're great in the playoffs and are built for playoff basketball as well. But they're a PERFECT regular season team IMO.

It was hilarious.

Yep. Plus, I wouldn't go so far as saying people were "freaking out", but moreso concerned about their glaring weaknesses: lack of interior presence, perimeter defense took a hit (Iggy is not the same player as he was 2 seasons ago), and their bench is depleted.

They'll breeze through the regular season because of their starting lineup, but it will catch up with them as they get deeper into the postseason.

I was certainly one of the ones saying they wouldn't be as good as the previous year.

I never said they would be bad. I just said they wouldn't be as good or, at best, will be about the same.

I didn't think they improved.

You also have to take into account that their schedule so far after their first game against the Spurs has been probably the easiest schedule by far in the NBA.

Only 3 games out of 16 have been against a team over .500. Only 3! That's as soft a schedule as it gets.

The only 3 teams that they have played who are over .500 are OKC, Boston, and Toronto. OKC is 6th in the West and Boston is 5th in the East... so they aren't exactly top teams either. Toronto is the only "good" team they played.

They've played the Pelicans 2x, Phoenix 2x, Lakers 3x, Dallas, Denver, Minnesota, Milwaukee, etc.

The teams they have played are absolute garbage.

They're 1 minute away from back to back titles, they seem to be built for the playoffs as well I'd think.
