Yep, the Terry comments will be merely an afterthought.

I'm sure with Jason Terry watching Avery Johnson and Sean Eilliot get their numbers retired down in San Antonino he thinks he desreves it. Also given the fact that's he's been Dirk's number 2 since Nash left, and considering the fact that he is part of the Cuban era for the Mavericks I see him among up to 5 Mavs getting their jerseys retired from the mid 90s on
They are in no particular order

Jason Kidd
Michael Finely
Jason Terry
Dirk

and the long-shot is Steve Nash,in part, as a sort of "make-up" for not re-signing him.

Remember it's really just up to Cuban and he's the type of owner to try and honor all of his great players.

Maybe this is what Cuban meant when he said no rings. All 12 of em get their jersey retired.

Terry has contributed more to the Mavericks franchise than Jason Kidd, IMO. I'm not saying either of them deserves to have their numbers retired. But if one gets the honor, both should.

I bet they'll retire Kidd, Terry, and Dirk's numbers. Kidd would seem to be an automatic choice if he decides to go into the HOF as a maverick.

You'd think with ESPN devoting 90% of their post-Finals coverage to Miami, that Ghazi would be the absolute LAST person to still have Lebron on his mind.

And yet, he's still thinking about him.

I'm not really a Terry or Mavs fan but he is not out of line. A very good player on a title winner. Not sure the problem. There is no doubt that...

Kidd is a HOF period but Terry is far and away the better Mavs player. I dont see how that is debatable.

if LeBron said this

The problem w/ LeBron is he's good, but he's not a winner. The Heat win in 5 without him on the team.

With Terry, I think retiring his number is stretching it, but I definitely think he's a big part of the reason that they've won over the past several years, and his performance in the finals was clutch. I'd take him over LeBron in the post season any day. Give me LeBron in the regular season when there's no "pressure"

As a mavs fan, I think his number deserves to be retired along with Dirks. JET has made many big shots throughout his career and is a fan favorite in Dallas. He is the personality of that team and is one of the Maverick greats.
