Hope they find an offensive line, secondary receiver, and a RB who can consistently move the chains or this is gonna be a bust

Its actually a 6yr $78 million dollar deal with $41.7 million guaranteed, which is FRICKING RIDICULOUS!!

If that were actually the contract, then that's a good deal. Unfortunately, that's no where near what the contract will go for.

at least he doesn't has to start this year. Draft another WR and some OL th next 2 years, then plug in Stafford. If he had to start this year he (or any rookie) would be screwed.

I would be willing to bet at some point this year he starts... Daunte wont stay healthy, team will struggle and fans will want him in. Team will cave under pressure and Stafford plays before Week 10.

oh yeah, that wouldn't shock me but being able to watch half a season and get more practice time and then enter into games that don't matter is much easier than starting week 1.
