I didnt defemd it at all. But you being yelled at with a fence between you and 3 peoppe at a college baseball game is sligtly different then being in middle pf all the fans

I agree, I'm just waiting to see what was actually said before I just assume Smart is a pos.
And it's one thing when some guy out in left field is yelling at the outfielder, it's another thing when your standing face to face with them
ETA: if early rumors are true, then the fan is just as guilty IMO. Old arse needs to grow up, IF TRUE

Was Smart ever interviewed about what was said to him? Also this fan seems to have a track record of doing this kind of stuff vs TAMU

He only pushed him. He didn't go full blown Artest. Props to someone that can keep their cool better than that, but if the fan called Smart a monkey, he got off easily.

It wouldn't excuse Smart at all. It would just provide a reason for him doing what he did. Both would be wrong

I didn't go to college. I'm not saying you're defending him I'm just baffled that a super fan yelling at an athlete is even part of the discussion. We've all seen and heard shite like this, who the frick in their right mind shoves them? "Hey a guy yelled at me" would NEVER be a good enough excuse to a coach and for good reason. Who the frick gets mad at that sorta thing???
