Wow...

What a glaring hole in his game/career/reputation...he's no John Elway.

In his five playoffs games that kicked off at 40 degrees or colder, Manning has thrown five touchdown passes and nine interceptions.

He is 0-5 unless it's warm and sun.

Two of those five losses came in Broncos home games

Bet the house, Broncos lose.

Don't put up who those games were against. That isn't important at all

He plays in Denver and has tons of wins there.

I don't get it.

2 were against New England in years they won the Super Bowl and 4 of the 9 INT's were in 1 of those 2 games. He also beat SD at home 2 years ago, it wasn't "under 40" at KO, the temp is listed as 41.

The team isn't completely reliant on Peyton Manning now. Denver finished as the #1 seed in the AFC with him playing incredibly bad and Brock Os starting a few games. The defense has been the key part to this team all season and if they win the Super Bowl, it'll be the defense that does it.

Colts, Ravens, Pats...all sub-40 games and Manning is 0-5 in playoff games.

All of Manning’s Playoff games in 2014 were played in temperatures above 40 degrees, which ended in their Super Bowl loss to the Seahawks (2-1 record)

Non-playoff games -

Manning has a career record of 8-11 playing outdoors with the temperature below 40 degrees, with 30 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

Holy shite.

That is an unprecedented drop-off and glaring * to his career.

You can blame the loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Tony Carter.

He's not a good cold weather QB but a lot of his problems over the years came from them relying on him to throw a lot in the cold. The team they played usually played more defense and ran the ball better. Manning has been bounced out by the super bowl champion a lot.

Elway could play in any decade. Thick, stout, strong, fast and could scramble.

Manning couldn't, the stats back it up in this basketball-on-grass current league.

You're being short-sighted and influenced by the current no bump and run DB league.

Manning has #'s in cold weather shows he's soft and fragile. He's no Elway or Staubach.

If steelers weren't so depleted I'd agree with you. But it's really hard to bet the steelers.

I'm gonna be on the under.

Another spin on it. Can Manning sack up, humble up and be Elway? Can he turn around and hand it to a stud RB all day? I know he doesn't have Terrell Davis back there, he has a platoon. I don't think he can, even with a bad neck, he will go down trying to sling it.

The op is dumb. Except I think he means the playoff time. But if it is just playoffs that's just another notch in Eli over Peyton.

Two words.

The Drive.

In frigid temperatures. Elway.

Manning is 0-5 in playoff games in temps that aren't ideal.

He has the off-the-charts interceptions in cold weather. He folds, in all regular season cold games.

And he's the absolute worst in statistical analysis in playoff games in cold weather.

No other top QB has such a dramatic drop-off in performance than Peyton Manning. He literally turns into Vince Ferragamo or Marc Wilson in cold weather.

I have never seen this in any QB - doing statistical analysis where there is such a dramatic drop-off.

It's literally, he can't even perform mediocre in cold weather. He ceases to function. He's a shell. One-dimensional.

He can't win outdoors in the cold. Period.

Steelers are cold weather warriors and so is Big Ben who has proven his moxy.

Steelers take this.

Which again, I have no idea why he wanted to go to the Broncos. He's put up great number with them, what's new, but playoff games are miserable. I doubt it would have worked out with Harbaugh, but can you imagine him at his 2012/2013 form with those defenses? They probably win back to back.
