From the time Cajun field opened up until this plan was put into action, not a whole helluva lot happened at Cajun Field.

1970 slightly before completion:

2007:

1970's architecture wasn't kind. Most everything from that era was an ugly concrete behemoth. It badly needs work but for a while, athletics didn't have enough success/funds/interest to justify doing it. The goal for now is to get here:

The master plan includes long term plans if needed to expand to around 60,000.

That picture is during halftime FWIW. A bunch of people aren't even in their seats that that point.

I'm not a fan of the third design, but the second design is quite nice.

The point was that ULL has no room to talk about attendance at another school, especially one that is packing their stadium this year. If ULL was drawing 35000+ a game and drawing standing room only every weekend then the Cajuns would have a right to talk. As it is they are like almost every other mid-major. Good crowds for big games, average crowds when they do well and empty stadiums on bad years.

I did a year at ULL in the late 90's - that stadium is ugly as hell. Anything they can do with that press box would be an improvement IMO. I'm not one of the idiots on here with the lameass jokes either, I'd love to see ULL step up in a conference - but first that upper deck/press box has got to go ASAP.

We can agree to disagree on that one.

The main point is I was responding to Diat's obvious troll attempt comparing an obvious high school team and stadium to the cajuns. Unfortunately, Diat is sporting a Tulane logo next to his name (although I doubt he has any real connection the school).

In context of this obvious troll thread, I was simply responding to Diat's non sense- No offense meant to Tulane

TLDR.... It's gameday bitches!!! Tune in to see some real new Cajun uni's tonight

We've never been able to draw a crowd on campus:
