You're moving the goal posts. The argument is cotton in Louisiana, not cotton in south Louisiana.

No I'm not. I'm saying sugar played a part. Guy was saying the only reason there was plantation slavery in Louisiana was cotton which is completely wrong.

frick it, I got roped back in. Show me where the guy (me) said what I quoted. I'll save you the trouble, you can't. The guy posted a picture of a cotton plant. A plant responsible for bringing the vast majority of slaves to the South Eastern US. A region that includes Louisiana. You posted a picture of some sugar cane. Did slaves get brought to LA to work on Sugar Cane farms? Absolutely. And some came from the Caribbean as well like you said. But you are implying that Sugar Cane is the main reason why LA has a high black population, and subsequent abundance of athletic people. That is just not true. It was a contributing factor but not the biggest factor. In short, my picture of Cotton trumps your picture of Sugar Cane. Deal with it.
