Harper can hit for average, Trout will never hit for average, just a glorified power hitter that can steal bases. Both are the same defensively.

Still don't get the Mike Trout love, his numbers don't justify the legend status he gets these days. Griffey's 4th season was better than Trout's 4th season and no way will Trout match Griffey's epic 5th season in 1993

I like Harper and I think by the end of their careers he will have better numbers, but damn this is dumb at this point

Wait, what? Mike Trout has a career BA of .305.

I'm not going to argue whether one is better than the other, but to say Trout "will never hit for average" is plain false.

Trout is the type of player you could build a team around during any era of baseball, while Harper is the type of player who could dismantle the 1927 Yankees.

You obviously don't watch baseball at all. Trout is a way way all around better and more consistent baseball player. Everything you said made zero sense whatsoever.

Now is definitely the time to take a hard stance considering both will still be around in 10-15 years.

So do you actually have something of substance to post, or do we just count this as another useless post by a bigoted conspiracy theorist?

LOL, guy is no good because his 4th season doesn't compare to that of one of the best players ever. You're doing pretty damned good if you are getting comparisons to Ken Griffey Jr.

What does this have to do with your argument?

This is completely backwards. Have you looked at any numbers or are you just typing random things?

I'm just going to go ahead and repeat what others have said:

(1) What does this have to do with your argument that Bryce Harper is better than Mike Trout?

(2) Even if this was relevant to your argument, you're comparing Mike Trout's "fourth season" to the "fourth season" of one of the greatest talents/players to ever play. Nice.

(3) Mike Trout's 2012 season was technically his rookie season. Including that season, he's had a three-year run, to start his career, that is matched only by some of the games' greatest players.

Jesus, I didn't realize Trout was that bad. Send him down to AAA.

By the sexual harasser of young girls or by the manager's convict friend that smears mustard on his windshield?

They are three years into their respective careers. After all? They likely aren't even a 1/6th of the way into "all".

Dismantle the 27 Yankees? I mean come on if nothing else Harper plays hard and leaves it on the field. The dude is true baseball player
