There could be more players and picks involved in a larger deal, but those mentioned have been major part of talks, sources said.

The reality is this: Rondo's value no longer dictates an All-Star in return, and waiting until the trade deadline won't improve packages.

Momentum building for Rondo-to-Dallas but Houston remains aggressively in the mix. Rockets do not believe they are out of it. Still talking.

And the Southwest division wasn't good enough already

The Mavs are gonna HAVE to find some depth behind Tyson Chandler now. Jermaine O'neal or Emeka Okafor possible.

Pick and pop between Rondo and Dirk seems unfair.

Damn, Dallas is going to be so fun to watch. This is the best landing spot for him.

Pretty light return for the Celtics. Wright is one of the most underrated players in the league and still kind of young but is going to be a FA this offseason.

I may be in the minority here, but as a Mavs fan I'm pretty nervous about this trade. Who's going to backup Chandler now?

PGs in the Southwest division now.... Holiday, Conley, Tony Parkey, Harden ( more of a PG than Beverly) and Rondo...

Rondo is not having a good year at all, and really isn't the player he once was. This is a risky trade for Dallas.

That being said, I fricking HATE the southwest division.

God fricking damnit.
