Not since 1999 has an MVP led his team to a Super Bowl victory.

Denver had the #1 total defense.

14 - #1 defenses have won the Super Bowl.

In head to head #1 defense vs. #1 offense (Cam) - the defense has the upper hand.

Since the merger, only 4 times have the #1 offense faced the #1 defense....the last being Bills vs. Giants - and Norwood's miss. Giants had the #1 defense.

The defense has the edge historically, but times have changed.

Denver is wearing all white, and everyone knows how hard it is to catch a white Bronco in California.

Vegas should give you a vig, for as much as money as you are about to make them.

94% of the public is on Carolina.

Personally, I'd rather be on the side of Vegas when it's this lopsided in the most bet game of the year

Underdogs have won four consecutive SBs and six of the last eight, including three in which the media narrative was similar to this i.e. the eventual winner didn't have a chance.

If you look at their respective schedules, the Broncos have a much more impressive list of wins this year. They beat six playoff teams while Carolina only beat four, and two of Carolina's wins were Houston and Washington who were two of the worst playoff teams in history. The Broncos beat the Patriots twice in one season, something only done three times in the Belicheck era. And the fact remains that Peyton Manning is the smartest QB to ever play and for one game, it's entirely possible he puts on one last show.

I'm not saying the Broncos WILL win, Carolina is probably the better team. But it's the best defense Cam Newton has played all season and the Broncos played a VERY tough schedule to get here.

Seattle had a better statistical total D than Denver and Carolina dropped 31 on them in the 1st half.

The only phase Denver is one above Seattle is in rushing D.

Granted Cam and Co. didn't score a single point in the 2nd half but they also beat Seattle twice this year...by 4 and 7 points respectively.

This game should be close if Denver gets off to a fast start like they did against NE and don't implode like Seattle did in the 1st half.
