Good post, at least good subject matter. I had forgotten all the "home games" they played in places like Hattiesburg, Monroe, Shreveport, Lafayette, etc.
Saw the game at Navy. While Navy a good team, Tulane just seemed tired. I can't imagine playing on that team.

i remember scelfo getting pissed and saying something to the effect of "you're lower than dirt, you know who you are" talking about ole miss
Coach Orangutan had an assistant call a Tulane assistant under the guise of checking on him and seeing how his family was doing. Then Zero grabbed the phone and said "The real reason we're calling is we heard you might drop football and we want a head start on some of your players."
I'm not sure which is worse--being a sleazy vulture or being so desperate that you try to raid a program that had one winning season in the previous 6 years.

I'll go on record and say they should have not played the 2005 season.

I still say that it is ridiculous for lsu people to complain about how tough it was to have extra people living with them or how bad the traffic was and Les Miles to complain how tough it was to have to move a game time a few hours when student athletes at uno and Tulane had no home, had to attend a different school for six months, never have a home practice or game for the entire year, had to fight for the life of their programs and are still today feeling the affects of Katrina.
It's not even close to the same. In fact BR people who bitch about how tough they had it are POS, IMHO FWIW
