He is literally the definition of having more hype than substance

Very overrated

Nothing special at UCLA

He goes to show how much marketing and image can do to raise your profile in terms of actual ability

Which makes him perfect for the Lakers.

I don't know, dude. At worst, I think he will be a poor man's Kidd, which is still pretty good. Seems to have great vision. Not sure about foot speed or if that sidewinder shot will work in the league.

He is built to last in the league by his passing skills alone

I used to think this was possible, but now that you're certain he's a bust, I'm going to have to regroup.

What? He was very good at UCLA. In addition to his stellar vision, he finished over 70% of his shots at the rim and hit 41%+ from three.

You'll get more attention if you make a thread about Lavar Ball.

Fox is better. I just hope the celtics don't take ball. I may have to look for another team if ball goes to boston

To be fair, that's not a ringing endorsement of late.

He has elite talent.

The thing that worries me is his mental game. Dude flaked out in the tourney.

Means nothing as far as the NBA is concerned but OP said he wasn't anything special at UCLA...which is ridiculous.

He doesn't need to score to be effective, which is why I feel it's a long shot that he will be a bust. His ceiling might not be as high as some of the other prospects; he is a safe pick.

For the record, I love his game.

You are expert in everything else in this world. I guess you might as well be an NBA scouting expert today.

Ball will not be a bust.

Like this thread of yours.

His draft stock has been pretty consistent over the past year from what I've seen, before we ever heard of Lavar Ball.
