Only team I think can beat WM right now is Landry Walker. I obviously could be wrong but they have the only defense that can stop WM in 5-A. West Monroe is going to put up 30 on just about anyone else I have seen. Zachary has a good defense too though.

I think this is the case but I think if you shutdown Bolden, WM can easily get beat. He's their entire offense. Now their defense is pretty solid. It's going to be an interesting November and December. Acadiana turns on the switch and plays a new level of ball once the playoffs begin. Acadiana still can easily win state

EA vs St Amant is going to be a war in two weeks.

Could be the biggest matchup ever between the two. 2013 game was a very big and good game but this game has district championship written all over it and a top 8 seed for both schools. Burnside is going to be shutdown that night

He came out of the game with 10:07 to play in the 2nd quarter tonight. WM scored 63. He played 1 series in the 2nd half last week. WM scored 55. He had 8 carries against Neville. 8 carries against Ruston and 2 knees. 11 carries against ASH. Idk, 4-5 carries tonight MAYBE.

WM’s offense has playmakers all over the field.

It was Pineville not a top 10 5A team in the playoffs

And the other teams aren't good teams. Neville isn't good this year, and Ruston is good but not a top 10 team. I'm just saying I think WM is beatable. Of course it's a lot easier said than done

Pineville is very bad. Just saying the coaches have limited his touches the last 4 weeks. It’s not Slade left and Slade right. Cam Wright, Max Hunter, Jairus Henry, and Michael Hamburg have all really stepped up. Kahmann has looked good every time he’s gotten a chance. WM is a very different team this year. Pretty much zero snaps under center all year. Just a handful of plays total.

I agree and not to knock on WM I'm just saying. I go to a lot of WM games and I enjoy watching the Rebels play and I root for them unless they're playing my St Amant Gators

Time for WM to get another. Been 6 years since we last won this thing. Was a special time for me as a father of a starter on that team. Defense was spectacular that year. Offense did just enough.

Very next year, offense was great, defense was down. Damn you Barbe.

I truly think Landry-Walker is the only team that can beat them going forward. They are the only team with the team speed on defense and size and athleticism up front to give WM hell. Booker T was the only team I have seen this year that gave them pure hell with the scheme they were running in the 2nd half of play. Man up the outside with superior athletes and jam WM's small and diminutive receivers; have a disruptive nose-guard who can make life hell for their interior linemen who are very good this year; and have safeties who can cover ground quick. West Monroe is beating people senseless with speed this year on the outside.

LW has all those ingredients made to stop offenses like that playing the likes of Karr, Warren Easton, McDonough, etc.. all these years. We will see the rematch from last years championship somewhere down the line come playoff time more than likely than not.

Running backs Cameron Wright and Max Hunter both had multiple TDs tonight. Henry scored with a TD catch and on a punt return that was called back. Three different QBs scored tonight.

Henry caught a TD from Slade and Kahmann. The punt return call was just dumb. He was inside the end zone and the ref dropped the flag at the 14. Film shows nothing happening in that area at any point during the play.

Next year they are primed for a national top 20 type year.

I don't see a team in the state in 5-A coming up with the sheer amount of talent all over the field like West Monroe (University lab does, but they are Division 2).

The quarterback is a better quarterback than Bolden. He isn't a better athlete. #83 and #84 at receiver are very good receivers. If they don't end up in the top 20 nationally next year it will be from their own doing, as all the talent is there for the run.

Lakeshore continues to blow out every team they have played so far. They are legit. I have seen them play several times and their passing game is as good as it gets in high school.

STA said the same thing. This ain't Benny Saia Dutchtown, and they're one yard away from beating 2 of the top 5 teams in 5A. They are miles from the team that lost to Dehnam in the Jamboree, and Walker in week 1. They're not ready to make a run in the playoffs because they lack depth and skill position players. But they're a team that isn't afraid and they play to the level of their opponents. I saw the EA/Dutchtown game a couple of weeks ago on TV, and the only thing that separated those two teams was that Dutchtown doesn't have a difference-maker like Jimel London.

We're talking about Landry Walker, but in their most recent legit game against Ehret, that offense only scored 23 points...

They haven't faced a legit road atmosphere yet from a team that could beat them... If they handle us in front of a sure to be packed stadium in two weeks, that changes.

Speaking of which, if we can beat LW, I'll throw our hat in among the top teams in the state. Its easy to say why we're not, but the one major blemish on our record was all the way back in week 1.
