Crusaders play at Sulphur tomorrow night. Folks from SW LA what can y'all tell me about Sulphur? How good are they? What will we see?

Sulphur's 4-2, 1-1 in district play. We played Acadiana close last weekend, but just don't have much talent on D right now. Swilling should have another great game. Although we do have a pretty good little QB who fits Wainwright's offense well.

It's our first home game this season due to the construction of the new stadium. Should be a great crowd tomorrow night.

Tigers32, thank you for the information. Our defense is. Adequate at best.

Public schools in Texas have said they won't play IMG going forward. It would be good if Louisiana schools would do the same.

Yep. All the Louisiana schools need to stay away from these folks.

This is somewhat related, they 'recruited' the QB(Patterson) from Calvary at a 7on7 camp somewhere in AL last summer.

Don't give them a foothold in Louisiana by playing them.

Probably did it at the 7 on 7 National Championship which was held at...wait for it...IMG's Campus.

most teams won't be good enough to consider it... but I'd like to see a well coached John Curtis team take that challenge one day...

It's hard to feel bad for Calvary considering they recruited Patterson themselves

Owl, thought you might like reading this from River Parish Football. Coach Salt talking about "getting out of a funk". FWIW, talent isn't what he thought he was going to have but from what I've heard the middle schools are loaded.

LINK

By the way, Eric Richey does a good job with his website covering the River Parish Teams.

The fact of the matter is the last two teams we’ve played were more talented than us and Riverside was as equally talented as we are so as the head coach you look back and say,

I saw STM get dominated by Notre Dame in the Jamboree. There is no way STM has more talent than Hahnville. STM is just a really well coached team with some nice players, as was Notre Dame. He's crazy if he thinks the STM coaches wouldn't love to have the tools Salt's working with.

This. Ramsey's results always look weird during the season. I forget which one it is, but either the LHSAA or Ramsey takes into account the records of opponents a team has yet to play while the other doesn't until the game is actually played. By the end of the season it works itself out. Hell, by week 8 it's a fairly good resource to use to figure out if you're safely in the playoffs or still on the outside.

A lot of head coaches reference Ken Ramsey's site. I appreciate the time he puts into the site. He is retired from UPS, drives a bus, professional photographer, and a licensed realtor. Wish we had more men in this country like Ken Ramsey.

Wow, looks like they may have won the battle but may have hurt themselfs in the long run.

How many coaches are now aware of this and will now avoid them like the plague?
