and neither did West Monroe.

Yeah, not sure what to think about that. Kind of embarrassing.

They voted yes three years ago, so abstaining is at least an improvement.

I'd have voted no split.
No better feeling than beating the 10th ranked Catholic Bears in the semis when we were given no chance. Granted, it was a fun ride when they won 3 championships in a row, but it becomes boring when you know you're going to win every game. As much as I hated losing to Evangel, I still loved watching those games because you never knew who was going to win.

Why did Calvary vote for the split?

Hopefully when the privates break away and form their own association, they will tell Calvary to get the frick when they want to join

They claim it was a clicker malfunction...sounds fishy BUT the voting devices were for a fact not functioning properly.

Not saying the vote wouldn't have gone the same way but it was depressing how inept the voting process was.

A good chunk of the smaller schools in the Acadiana area voted against the split it appears. Haven't looked at the larger ones though.

How about a split of 2A down north of Alexandria and everyone else?

Some Calvary people are saying that's a misprint that they voted against the split

I really don't need additional reasons to dislike Rummel, but this works as well. How can they abstain? Bunch of pink and powder blue babies.

Maybe Rummel was one of the 10 whose clicker wasn't working during the vote. They said if it came down to less than a 10 win for any vote they would manually get those remaining votes, but it wasn't needed. Pretty sure Rummel has been against the split the whole time.

There were major issues with the clickers. Pretty much sums up the LHSAA.

STM is usually one of the biggest 4a schools in the state. They are by no means small. Not to mention they usually have a few promenant 5a schools on the schedule each year.

Rummel has been done with the LHSAA ever since Kenny Henderson encouraged the first split.

The best part about the whole thing is that my wife and I both graduated from the same public school. She's an attorney and I'm an engineer. Our school also voted against the split and was actually a powerhouse in numerous sports when we were in school, all with neighborhood kids. It's just funny that the privileged private school girls are crying so loudly about this split.
