Rebels tough to beat at home.
Salt keeps proving me wrong (I keep thinking they will have to throw some to move on) so I'll go with the Tigers even though my gut says they'll lose a close one.

They are the 3 seed and HHS the 10, not sure what numbers Owl had used might be overall ranking numbers not seeds.

The baws from Rayne and Lakeshore are simply playing to get to the slaughterhouse.

That's going to be a game.

U High beat Catholic (ranked 10), Zachary (ranked 6) and St Charles (ranked 24)

DLS beat St Aug (ranked 22), Karr (ranked 7), also beat St Charles, and beat St Thomas Moore (ranked 15).

Both of these teams are ranked higher than the D-I champ game teams. Both are undefeated. Both have stepped up in class multiple times.

This is what should be the prime time game Fri Night.

You're right. Nothing like watching Curtis pounds someone else's arse with that fascinating split back veer offense.

Forgive my stupidity...

But why are these rankings so inflated? Is that how they are ranked if it was just a single class?

No, I'm salty because the playing field in LA High School football is so uneven, and the method that's been used to attempt to resolve it has created a situation with championships being diluted to the point of not being truly meaningful.

There's just no way to stop kids, parents, and coaches from gathering at the schools that give them the best chance to win...

Plus the distribution of game-changing talent is uneven to begin with

with most private schools it has nothing to do with athletics.... but the condition of the public education system where most of the kids that attend them live.
