SWLA/Acadiana is guaranteed to take home at least 1 state title, and could win as many as 5 titles.

That's nuts.

Where did the rankings come from? Are they updated each week as well?

WM won the first game of the season 44-20 at WM.

JE proceeds to win the next 9 regular season games, beating 5A powerhouse Destrehan along the way, 37-35.

JE had a tough game last week against EA and pulls out the last minute win against EA. JE could be without the services of their talented QB, Travis Mumphry, had to leave late in the game with a leg injury.

JE however, has one of the best LBs in the country with Donte Starks.

WM should get RB Cam Wright back for the game. WM has a few RBs in the stable that have filled in admirably. WM QB Kahmann is playing very well and is reading the option great.

WMs offensive line is playing as well as they have in several years.

WMs defensive line is playing lights out and the WM defensive backfield is solid. Lots of hard-hitting tackles by the vintage WM defense.

JE plays tough for a while but WM starts to pull away in the third qtr.

WM wins by 2 TDs

quote:

#12 Zachary at #7 Destrehan

Zachary goes down to Destrehan without several of their key players.

It will be a dogfight though. Desty will be too much though.

Destrehan by 10 points.

quote:

#14 Neville at #4 Karr

Neville travels way down to NOLA to take on Karr.

Can Neville pull it off?

Neville by a whisker.

54 Sterlington at #39 Iota

#54 Sterlington at #39 Iota

Sterlington wins a TD

quote:

#105 West St. John at #52 Oak Grove

Its hard to beat OG at home. OG by 2 TDs

quote:

#78 Kentwood at #61 Haynesville

Two rivals go at it again.

Haynesville has the home field advantage and its very hard to win there.

Haynesville wins in a hard fought game by a FG.

JC is rolling, again.

Add another state championship trophy in the case for John Curtis

Pulling for Iota here. If Iota and Eunjce make it, it’ll be a helluva rematch of the final regular season game which was a back-and-forth affair with the district title on the line. Iota won 35-34 and completed an undefeated regular season.

I don’t know much about Sterlington this year. But I’m hoping Iota can pull it off and make a return to the dome.

No one cares. They ruined high school football in this state. Give them all a trophy. Might as well have 20 state champions so everyone gets a trophy.

Mumphrey is fine. He inly had cramps.

If the game was being played down there id take Ehret as much as I expect WM to win at home Friday.

Home field will mean everything. Long arse drive for them boys and a long drive home.

News to Ehret, stop scheduling WM first game of the season and selling your away game for money losing seeding for semis.

Damn yall that broke or what?

if you reverse the Ehret/WM game to an Ehret win, WM would be at a 15.38 power rating and still #1 seed, and Ehret would have been at 14.7 and #3 seed

Ehret's seeding got killed by 5-5 Hahnville and 6-4 Landry Walker, teams they would expect to win 7 or 8 games; and their district going 4-17 in the first three weeks playing nondistrict games

That is why i think districts are about to die.

It is killing seeding and now i understand why they sold their HOME game, which is what i meant to say.

Teams stuck in large districts with crappy teams suffwe if there is just one or two more poop teams in there keeping them from scheduling a better opponent.

Now, with LW in 4A it gets worse. And, also does 5A. 5A loses a real player and gains nothing. 5A fast becoming a shitty class.

that had all to do with money... WM probably promised a crapload of it and told Ehret if they don't take it for two away games rather than one home and one away, they'd find somebody who would travel to WM twice.

and i'm sure coaches would probably love a home game against a WM when they're state title contenders themselves, but there is value in taking the long road trip and getting kids used to it

hopefully never. we can't all contend for state, but lots of kids have fond memories of winning district titles

most districts have a poop team or two. 8-5A the next two years will be John Ehret and the 7 dwarves.

let's see what Benton and Southside bring, and I expect Riverdale to battle us for the title of "best dwarf"

lowkey 1-5A will be a gauntlet if every team reaches their potential in the same year. I feel sorry for Southwood
