Clock strikes midnight Friday. Great job beating down Carencro. WM is a different beast.

Yeah Cov/Carencro was a shocker. Maybe not the upset, but the pounding they put on them. I personally did not think Covington was that good, and west monroe should handle them.

I will admit I am very scared of Acadiana. Hopefully their turnover wors continue and the Greenies can capitalize.

Plays Haughton up there this week. If they can win they would probably play Destrehan the next game.

That game would be huuuuuuuuuuuuge

I think they have a very good shot at taking down Haughton. They looked very good last week vs Natchitoches Central. The defense was stout, special teams were great and the offense was clicking with any of 3 QBs in during the game.

It really sucks that Hahnville, Destrehan and ESJ ended up in the same quarter of the bracket.

Did Natchitoches Central's QB play last week? They were a different team with him vs the kid that came in after against WM.

Do you know his #? I believe #14 was the QBed almost the entire game. He's a fairly good size kid, but the only thing that worked for them regularly on offense were the 5-7 yard hook routes.

I remeber their running back starting about 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage and just pounding us at full speed. Thank god they kept fumbling

Frank Goodin? I've never seen a 180 pound guy run so hard in my life. He was running over our 200+ pound linebackers effortlessly.

I also remember their defensive front 7 looking like a legitimate division one defense.

Both their ends were 6'4 280 and their linebackers were at least 6'0 220. Shamari Clemons? Was a beast

While Acadiana has put the ball on the ground an abnormal amount of times this year, they could lose even if they don't fumble once. The only way I see this game being close is if the defense comes to play. Ponchatoula is averaging an insane amount of points and Acadiana is on it's 3rd qb. It'll take a monumental effort for my Rams to win.

STM and Teurlings advance for an epic semifinal matchup for Lafayette.

STM goes on to skull-stomp John Curtis in the dome

Breaux Bridge with a monumental upset of Neville

That sounds right. But they had no run game and, as I said before, only the hook routes were working. He wasn't too accurate on the long ball and, as the deficit got larger, Hahnville starting sending more rushers and NC's o-line couldn't handle it. The QB was swamped pretty much all 2nd half.

That is still up in the air. At the very least I will listen on the radio.
I'm sure the kids are ready, especially on ponchy's side. I'm hearing they've been chomping at the bits for another shot at Acadiana. I'm thinking the winner of this game will make it to the finals.

Yeah their starter got rolled up against WM. He created most of their offense with his scrambling. So if he wasn't healthy, I could see them being less effective

It's not out of the realm of possibility that Winnfield, 1-9 in the regular season, could beat Vinton and end up in the AA quarterfinals.

Ponchatoula over Acadiana..........I hope!!!!

I would like to see this. I always pull for teams like Ponchatoula; teams that make "dream runs." Acadiana is no slouch though. The way these two schools run the ball, this could be one of the fastest games of the year (in terms of finish time).

ESJ gave them a tough game first go round, but Destrehan will win this one.

Yes he did JJ and was very ineffective. He didn't have time to scramble and receivers didn't get open very often. He threw for a couple of touchdowns later in the game but Salt played everybody Friday night. It was 28-0 in the first Quarter.

Don't know much about Haughton but was told they are similar to NC but a little better. My fear is that Salt said in the paper today "We are a triple option team again!" I hate that considering they threw the ball a bunch with the Soph QB filling in for the injured Jr starter for the last 7 weeks and because they ran well against a bad defense he's going back to run-run-run. HHS is built for a balanced offense that throws a good bit with the players they have.

Brandon Singleton (WR) is committed to Ga. Tech. He won the state 200 m hurdles last spring and is impossible to cover 1 on 1. His dad is Nate Singleton of the 49ers. They have another tall fast receiver on the other side that's committed to a smaller school, just can't remember what school. OL is not tiny but not powerful.
