LHSAA basketball bracket question...

We're looking like the #4 seed in 5A. We're paired up with #13 Central Lafourche and #20 Terrebonne in round 2.
If Terrebonne gets the forfeit win after Central Lafourche had that fight Friday night, does it count as travel and they get to host us in round 2?

Sorry basketball playoffs are new to me lol... I have a bad feeling it will count as a travel

I would assume they would move all teams up a spot if they are going to remove them from the playoffs

First ive heard of the fight. Has LHSAA made a ruling? I would assume the proper ruling would be playoff ban which would slide every team up one

An LHSAA member school is appealing the decision of the Executive Director as it pertains to a decision made for a forfeiture and suspension of athletes. The next steps for appeal are an LHSAA Sportsmanship Hearing with potential for an emergency appeal to the LHSAA Executive Committee immediately following. This said, the tournament brackets for Boys' Basketball will not be released until this is resolved. Your patience is appreciated.

So what film are these coaches to supposed to watch until then? Just pick 3-4 teams and get after it I guess.....complete incompetence per usual

That's right, hold up all travel plans for all schools in all Classes and Divisions for this one appeal. Ridiculous! I guess working weekends or after hours is off-limits!

What's ridiculous is they didn't talk to any of the schools to get their side of the story before they made a ruling, thus there would be no need of an appeal.

From what I understand both CL & ESJ are in the playoffs. Both have players suspended.
Central is appealing the players suspension, because the Lhsaa didn't even talk to CL to get their side of the story. Players were attacked from behind walking to the locker room.
If the appeal is denied you guys will likely be going to tbonne in the second round. It'll be tough for CL to beat them without the suspended players.

That one appeal can have a trickle down effect on a bunch of schools because of the power rating system

I wonder if any of their fans chiming in here were actually at that game... I saw Central at our tournament give Riverside a good game... I thought they were that good before I knew Riverside was down
