Teurlings TD with 1:18 remaining. 28-20

Fourcade is running for 5-6 a carry when he does keep it.

Onside kick coming...

[quote]Here's a fun fact: Acadiana hasn't lost at their home stadium in the playoffs in 15 years. The last time they lost was 1999 to a Jack Hunt and Kyle Williams led Ruston team in the quarterfinals. [/quote

This game will be at Mandeville. Acadiana always tough in the playoffs, but so is Mandeville...now the 15 yr playoff home stand run, pretty amazing...

Not really. Grew up with his two oldest sons and he was my coach from little league baseball all the way through high school. Always tought to respect your opponent and play the game right. Wasn't perfect but certainly not a prick. Teurlings gave a good fight against a really good team. No shame there.

It was really for the making higher ranked teams travel part of the discussion, it must be the fact that all of Lafayette's public school facilities are so poor and trashy compared to everywhere else in the state. If you were a visitor playing at Acadiana you'd understand why.

Now if you watched Acadiana play all year you'd be hard pressed to say they were favored in any game, especially against a Mandeville team who has had success in the playoffs against some really good teams. They've just beaten Barbe who handed Acadiana their third loss earlier in the year. But I will say if Acadiana holds on to the football then I like their chances against anyone with the way that they're playing now. It is literally a different team from earlier in the year. It should be a good game.

Understood Acadiana had some kids out early in the season that they got back...should be a good game. Mandeville a little weak on offense but strong on defense , it's always been our Demi's that the o and the d never hit on the same year but usually the other way around... Usually the o is putting up big numbers, this year struggled for a QB so just threw our best player back there against Barbe and it worked...

I just saw Mandevilles schedule and they've only given up an average of 6.5 points per game their last 8 games.

And 8 of their 12 games have given up a touchdown or less. That's very impressive. It seems crazy that this is the first meeting between the two with both teams recent playoff success. Both teams seem to turn it up a notch in the playoffs.
