They are putting a ton on Dante Fowler's shoulders. I don't care how generational a talent someone is, picking a RB at 4th overall is insane.
Which is fine because he could probably live up to it. But they also have at safety and Adams was considered a once in a lifetime safety as well.
But agreed. I love LF, but a rb is such a devalued position and finding a top end contributor can be done in mid rounds. The top 12 rbs were Elliott, Howard, Johnson, bell, Mccoy, Murray, freeman, Ajayi, Ingram, Hyde, Crowell, and ware.
2 1st rounders (Elliott and Ingram)
3 2nd rounders (bell, Mccoy, and Hyde)
2 3rd rounder (Johnson and Murray)
1 4th rounder (freeman)
2 5th rounders (Ajayi, Howard)
1 6th rounder (ware)
1 udfa (Crowell)
I mean there are two other good rbs Gordon and Gurley who were 1st rounders but I don't think they were as efficient as Hyde who I have at 12. But at the end of the day. Good rbs are found easily anywhere. I'd also argue if the tip 5 rbs only 1 is from the 1st round.

A rb got lit up behind the line of scrimmage on a play in practice as a rookie
Cool

They will probably win 6 or 7 games.

Fournette actually caught a pass over the middle and took it to the house on the very next play.
"Fournette was the standout of the entire practice, as he caught a pass over the middle from quarterback Chad Henne and streaked to the end zone for a touchdown. The big play was probably the most noteworthy of the day, as quarterbacks mostly took what the defense gave them."

That whole o line sucked equally on that play.

he was an overrated college RB.
The frick? No he wasn't.
He's extremely overrated in the sense that some people seem to believe he was Heisman caliber and an all time great. He was decent in college, but he was nothing special that college football fans don't see every single season.

Not that bad actually. They have talent at all the skill positions, and their defense should be 18-12 in the league.
The biggest issue they have is QB. Bortles massively regressed last year, and early word out of camp is he has looked even worse. The AFC South improved quite a bit, and I think it's pretty easy to argue either the Jags or Colts will finish last in said AFC South.

I think OLine is there bigger issue. Bortles could be serviceable if he had any semblance of a run game. But the OLine never lets the RBs get further than a half yard before contact and bortles ends up throwing 50 times a game

Not really. LSU literally has a better RB than him on their roster right now. His reputation is built on hype and a couple of exciting runs against bad defenses.

A couple?
He had almost 4,000 rushing yards in essentially what was 2.5 seasons

You're not supposed to make it this obvious when trolling LSU fans.

And over half of that yardage came in one season, a season in which he wasn't even deemed worthy of attending the Heisman festivities. His college career breaks down like this:
One decent season
One extremely good season
Less than a thousand yards lol. GOAT!!!!
Are you familiar with the term one hit wonder?
