It wasn't funny other than maybe Bosh's comment.

UPDATE:

Talked to 3 orthopedic surgeons and texted 2 others earlier this morning.

All 5 said without question tearing an Achilles is more painful. Did say that a bad muscle cramp is awful though.

Nonetheless, SUCK IT ROCKET31 and Co.

Anyone making fun of Lebron for the cramps thing is either a moron when it comes to a modicum of medical science or never played sports. If you have bad enough cramps you can't play, it's not a matter of will. Your muscles don't work. It's like saying people with muscular dystrophy are weak willed.

Not to mention he could have made a free throw if he ended too that's ridiculous. He came in and immediately made a contested layup but then had to go back and out again bc he couldn't play for real. Just like Kobe. fricking Mongolloids humanity can be so stupid

Blames it on the phone.

What was the argument, just which is more painful?

I could see that, but you can also still walk after the achilles tear. You can't walk if your muscle is actually not functioning.

this is untrue.

A cramp means your muscle is functioning at maximum intensity.

but good effort, good try sticking up for leCramp.

It's just game 1 and the Spurs did what everyone expected them to do, hold home court. Still a long series to go.

We got a cramp expert here!!!

Funny how you tell me i'm wrong, with sarcasm when you're wrong with your post.

Wrong twice, actually. A cramp doesn't mean your muscle is functioning at maximum intensity, you can cramp without that happening. A cramp is muscles spasming or contracting.

And also, per the Mayo Clinic's definition of a muscle cramp:

quote:

Though generally harmless, muscle cramps can make it temporarily impossible to use the affected muscle.

But keep fighting the good fight and making up your arguments. Thunder sweep!!!

I've never torn an achilles, but I've torn 3 ACLs and can say every injury is different. The first one I tore I was in so much pain, that I had to be helped off the field. The other two I was able to walk off the field on my own, and have had cramps that felt way worse than those two times. I'm not claiming to be a medical expert, or compare my body to that of a professional athlete, but I don't think there's really any way to compare the two feelings, IMO.

yes, and a muscle is in FUNCTION when contracting. A muscle only contracts and loosens.

So a non functioning muscle wouldnt contract...

so again, how is a cramped muscle NOT functioning?

good effort, good try. It's ok, LeCramp only failed because of the heat. Those old Spurs players had special A/C pills they took that turned their blood to ice.

Yea, you really can't.

An ACL or achilles tear are obviously much, much worse injuries than cramping. But guys get so excited to bash Lebron since they kinda haven't been able to do so for 2 years, they're just grasping for anything they can, so they'll run with this one.
