Lebron James: Damned if he does, Damned if he doesn't

I personally think he was a little too passive in the 3rd and 4th quarters, although he erased much of that thought with his last two shots. However, i've read and heard alot of criticism of Lebron based on two things, the fact that he didn't guard Carmelo Anthony and that he didn't take the last shot, both of which were 100% coaches decisions. So he gets blasted for listening to his coach, but i guarantee if he made a fuss and demanded to guard Carmelo and take the last shot he'd be blasted for being a prima donna locker room malcontent

exactly. He gets so much blame for everything he does. He's the best player on the planet. give the kid a break. after some titles, he will probably be the best to ever play the game! Dude is sick at every aspect of the game.

no not at all.
If he would have made the last shot the narrative switches to "Is he becoming clutch at last?" Winning cures everything so if he makes the shot he is fine.
If he misses the shot the narrative isn't he is a locker room malcontent, he's the unquestioned leader of the team. No the story simply remains he is not clutch and can't hit big shots

Is that a butterfly on Kobe's arm?

Did you watch the end Sunday? I am a lebron supporter and I can't even make an excuse for him. He just stood there for the entire 12 secs

Because that was the play called dumb arse. He was the third option on the play called.

The argument for him is simply that it was the play drawn up and the matchup they wanted.
Option 1 seemed to be Wade going to Amare's bad hand, option 2 seemed to be Bosh on Bibby, and the last was Lebron in the corner.
Personally I put more of the blame on Wade, but not much. It's simply a hard shot to make

Kobe hasn't matched up with anybody defensively in almost a decade
Posted on 5/7/12 at 6:54 pm to TigerMan327
Well that was a great play then, let D Wade dribble around and throw up a prayer. Why is he the 3rd option?

What the defense dictated.
What do you think is best matchup?
Wade going on Amare's bad hand, Bosh/Bibby, Melo/Lebron?

Is passing up game winning shots an aspect of the game? How about disappearing in the 4th qtr of big games?

I didn't know that when I posted first, I'm glad you explained it instead of just calling me a dumbass....
But he didn't make one single cut when Wade dribbled to the corner. And the paint was wide open if I'm remembering right

That's the whole point. The play that Spo called had Lebron sitting in the corner while Wade and Bosh run a pick and roll. So what's he supposed to do? Say "frick that coach Dwade isn't as good as me give me the damn ball i just scored 6 points in two possessions." I personally think he should have done that but he would've been blasted if he had. And give it a rest on Kobe. Has he ever won a championship without the best frontcourt in the league? No

But after the pick and roll got stuffed the still had 5 or so seconds. He didn't even try to get open.

I agree with you on this. I hate when people say championships=greatness. No one wins alone. That's why I don't care that LBJ left.

I thought Lebron had about 9 points in the fourth the other night. I could be wrong.

Wade shot a 3 pt shot and he is horrible at them. I really think he is the price of the Heat that needs to be traded.
