re: Lebron did this to himself.

Lebron showed why he is the best player in the game in this series and he did more with this squad than possibly anyone else could have.
But I agree with the overall point. He has no one to blame but himself for the position he's put himself into by trying to form these superteams that have little to no depth.
Look at the Warriors - Klay Thompson, their second best player, sucked arse for most of the series and Draymond Green was pretty bad in several games and their starter Bogut got benched. The Warriors still had a championship caliber team after all that.

The Jazz were a team that was good enough to make the finals but not good enough to beat the team they faced, just like this Cavs team.

Phil Jackson was very involved with bringing in all those quality role players.
And people shite on Jerry Krause, but he was the one that orchestrated the Pippen trade and drafted Horace Grant. There was a lot of stuff that had to go right for that team to be built.

This is true because 40% of Cleveland's starting 5 was injured

Then after winning ONE he started with the talk about wanting to be the best ever, and that is something every player should want but saying it is a different story. Now, he's back to saying he's the best player in the world and stuff like that.
You already said it yourself. Every player wants to be the best ever. At this point, he is by far the best active player in the world. It's not like he labeled himself the GOAT. He just said what everyone else already knew.
I agree that him leaving Cleveland in the manner that he left was awful, and he shite the bed big time against Dallas along with the rest of the Heat lineup. I think that there is a large group who deep down will compare him to Jordan regardless of the situation without ever trying to look at his game on its own. Because of the effect Jordan had on the world, there are a lot of very strong emotional bonds and nostalgia with his time, and anything that may supplant that is immediately bad.
If Lebron plays terrible or he loses with a solid team as he did against Dallas, run him through the ringer all you want. I just think it's sad that people can't let all that shite go and just enjoy an incredible athlete putting up a great Finals performance.

While I disagree with your statement that the entire Heat team shite the bed against Dallas your post is pretty spot on

Lets see how the Warriors depth looks once Draymond Green gets paid. Curry, Klay, and likely Draymond will all be on max deals.

Uhh Curry is on one of the most team-friendly deals in the NBA. Makes 11.3 this upcoming season and then 12.1 in '16-17

My mistake. But he will be on a max deal when this one is up. So will Klay. And so will draymond.
Regardless, once they pay draymond green, they will have some decisions to make.

Wade played really well against Dallas in 2011. Had the Heat won, he would have walked away with the Finals MVP

This is consistently the dumbest thing posted in all the LBJ GOAT threads and that is saying something.

Lebron injured Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving... got it.
Posted on 6/17/15 at 1:04 pm to Dijkstra
It's the excuses that piles up. Had he lost with Love, they would have said that love is overrated and plays no D. Why not just say he lost, bam done. Nope just excuses on why he lost.

Some people like to look into why something happened. You're stuck on the what.
