For those that say babe Ruth, I don't think you could be more incorrect. Good enough to be a major league pitcher but ends up being one of the best hitters of all time. Gonna say he was pretty naturally athletic. Might not have been a physical specimen but clearly an athlete

Did anyone mention Tony Siragusa? I doubt that guy could break a 6 second 40 the year Baltimore won the Superbowl. lol.

If you add both sports playing and sports broadcasting, Kruk takes it easily.

Really think Rose and Brady are the leaders in the clubhouse so far, if we consider traditional measures of athleticism like vertical, broad jump, 40, etc.

I think yal are all looking at this backwards. Those who are out of shape and STILL good are obviously naturally talented and athletically inclined to some degree.

What you should be looking for is someone who worked their butt off to stay in shape and overcome his lack of natural talent and athleticism ala Greg Maddux

I don't, if you can steal over 50 bases in a season, you're athletic.

Yeah, he was also an NBA draft pick. It was like the 10th round, but still means he had some athletic ability.

i'd imagine randy johnson was less athletic than either and it is easily argued that he has had a better career than either

Babe Ruth was arguably the best natural athlete in baseball early in his career.

Adam Archuleta would have a pretty compelling case if only physical transformation (not actual production) was the criteria.

To all the people hating on my Barry pick, he was a gifted natural athlete, who gave it up to be an artificial record maker. Do any of the haters think he is the all time homerun king without the juice? I was really just trying to dig on steroids in sports, but I guess I'm the only one that got it. You guys are way to smart for me. - out

Good luck finding a pre-roids picture of Cushing. Dude was obviously a pin cushion in high school.

Edgar Martinez is a candidate. He body wouldn't even let him play in the field, but he still won a couple of batting titles. He might be the first ever DH to make it into the HOF.
