quote:In a perfect world where all 3 of the kids became NBA All Stars in the next 10 years, this idea would blow the F up IMO and LaVar would be a genius, a very rich genius for risking it and doing it his way.
The brand is really banking on the future success of his brothers, I think. It is kind of silly that they marketing 3 potentially really good players as more valuable than one once in a lifetime player, but that appears to be their angle.
But that's just not realistic.

Kristine wants FOX and other networks to stop putting him on, but we know that ain't happening
She's coming out of all of this looking pretty bad.

Yeah, way too many things have to fall into place.
LaVar is probably hoping that before his other two kids get into the league the brand will already be established so that the other two's success isn't a requirement.
But that isn't realistic either.

Snacks Whitlock's knighting for her, I guess that was pretty predictable.
He said Lavar saying "stay in your lane" is akin to him saying "stay in the kitchen." That's pretty irresponsible the way they're putting their own meaning behind his words. I'm sure if he wanted to say stay in the kitchen he would have.
This is not a sexism thing but I guess they're trying to make it that so they can get people to forget that they trashed the guy as a father and his kids.
I don't have kids but I could see how it'd really get under my skin if people that have very few facts think they know my family.

It seems like there is a lot of opportunity there.
are you going to be buying the shoes or the clothing? everyone here commending LaVar and BBB are missing one huge point. There's no demand for the brand and it's products. The items (both shoes and shirts) is priced at a point which excludes most consumers.
Unfortunately, the only demographic that might be interested in this brand (8-16 yr old male) can't afford it on their own, and good luck convincing a parent to buy their kids a $50 t shirt. Further, in terms of fashion trends and styles, BBB is way off. Anyone 18+ isn't wearing clothing with huge, boisterous logos.
LaVar is pricing everything as if BBB is a luxury brand and it absolutely isnt. It's comparable to And1. Nike and Jumpman/Jordan, 2 brands that have much more prestige, clout and history than BBB price their shirts at about 50% of BBB.
Everyone saying that this could work for them if Lonzo turns into a star is dead wrong. Superstar or not, there's no demand for the brand.

quote:Yep. As I said yesterday, if it were a male who made those comments, I think we all know that LaVar Ball would still have made the same comments and told that dude to stay in his lane. Seemed pretty clear that it wasn't that she was a woman, it was that she had harsh comments for him and called out his parenting. For anyone railing on him, i'd like to know how they'd handle someone shitting on their parenting, when in reality, we have no clue about how he is as a parent.
