Agreed. But that could be just because he's not good at business. It doesn't have to mean he doesn't like women. That's my only point there.
you dont have to tell a business man myself that he isnt good at business And I dont care if he likes women or not, he is marketing a brand to the 1%. I just want to know why????!!

He could actually make some money (as much as i hate to say it, but he has gotten big because of his sons and its inevitable especially if Lonzo becomes a great player)
But he could have made such a stronger push if he wanted to make a lot of money, but he got greedy too soon like the bafoon he is.

So many dumbfricks in here acting like Lonzo ball has the potential to have LeBron/kobe/jordan levels of popularity.

Players 10x popular than Lonzo will ever be don't have the clout to have a homegrown apparel/shoe sponsor.

It seems like there is a lot of opportunity there. You listed a 32 year old, 38 year old, and a 54 year old.

There is definitely room for some young guy to take over a part of the scene. I am not saying it should be Ball, but I don't think the actions of Ball's marketing have been that bad of a move yet. He has gotten an insane amount of publicity.

He wasn't asked about that.

But now we condemn a guy for keeping the health of his wife private? Get outta here with that weak nonsense.

THanks for letting me know your'e a businessman. You also completely whiffed on my point, which is obvious in the context of what we were talking about, Mr. Businessman.

I think people are hung up he put some shoes on the market. The Balls have had an enormous amount of exposure and the name Ball will be much more recognizable now. Some have said that many people have a negative opinion of him, but his gamble is it will all go away if his son lives up to his draft status hype. I agree with him. If Lonzo is awesome as a rookie he could burst on the scene as a very marketable product. He is going to land in a big market and potentially Los Angeles.

What do you think the market is for women's basketball gear? What is the market for white women of all ages for basketball gear (a demographic Kristine Leahy would be a memeber)?

I find the whole thing interesting. I am not a huge fan of the Balls, but I am curious to how it all works out.

You mean guys like John Wall, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Russell Westbrook? Kevin Durant? Steph Curry?

What about Giannis? Kyrie? KAT?

99% chance Ball never even sniffs their level of production or popularity in the NBA.

He's now seeking $3 billion if shoe companies want to deal.

He also says he doesn't need to market the products/brand to women.

I think it's being overlooked that Lavar said Zo isn't good enough to play the 2

Yeah, your son is GREAT.

I just don't get the hype/potential of Lonzo that it appears some people believe.

He's not even a consensus number 1 pick, yet people are acting like this big gamble will pay off if Lonzo turns out to be the best player of all time in his first 2 years or some shite.

As I've said in previous threads, you can buy brand new, never worn LeBron 1's from 2003 for less than a pair of ZO2's. That's the rookie shoe of the best/second best player of all time. His rookie shoe doesn't command the price set by Lavar. But somehow it will all be justified if Lonzo has a good rookie year? The frick?

He seems to be a pretty good player, but you have to understand they are trying to establish a brand, and the foundation of that brand appears to be that they are basically kind of like a Brady Bunch of basketball players.

I think what they are doing is absolutely ridiculous but whatever.

I'm sure he's a good player and may even turn out to be great. I just don't understand the people acting like he'll be able to carry this "brand" when players already better than anyone expects lonzo to be couldn't do it.

In fairness, it's kinda apples and oranges in a comparison.

I'm not saying it'll work, but you can't compare to anything you've seen or any athlete because this is completely different.

The brand is really banking on the future success of his brothers, I think. It is kind of silly that they marketing 3 potentially really good players as more valuable than one once in a lifetime player, but that appears to be their angle.

I think one of them is supposedly really good. The other one probably not.

Just watched this interview. Dont see anything wrong with what Ball said.

I am not a fan of his but the Leahy chick acted like women normally act, whiny
