A thread to talk about the happenings.

Ivory Coast gets the beatdown at the hands of Korea

I love the way the Koreans play - intense, outhustle, and technical.

Koreans

The one team that every team hates to play. Those frickers run every team into the ground. Their fitness is astounding. And they are tough as nails.

They recently sacked their coach and are thinking about bringing on Guus Hiddink in the short term (He'll be Turkey's coach for the next Euros). If that's the case, they become contenders again

The Koreans are absoolute maniacs when it comes to fitness. When I was in the Army in Korea we used to be amazed at the physical training regimen of the ROK Army. They would go on long distance runs with a senior NCO at the rear of the formation carrying a riding crop. He'd beat any man who fell out of formation during the run. You didn't see too many Koreans falling out of formation during PT.

I doubt you will ever see a Korean team in any sport out hustled by their opponent. They may not be the most athletic people, but they have an intensity that others would do well to emulate.
