One has the Chilis red pepper sign for a mascot
The other should be the Indians and changed to Warhawks.....a nonexistent animal.
They are both bad to mediocre. I love ULM though.

This is it in a nutshell.
ULM beats SEC teams and SBC teams
ULL beats SBC teams only.

I think we beat ULM this year.
Neither school has done particularly well in FBS, but I like our long-term prospects going forward. In terms of facilities, a passionate fan base and potential, Lafayette has the edge.
The right coach can immediately turn a program around. It's early in Hud's reign, but he seems to be the guy. The next step for UL is to become a legitimate mid-major power that goes to lower to mid-level bowls and then perhaps has a shot at becoming another Boise State one day. The potential is there.
Of course, it's one thing for Hud to turn down Mississippi State, but if Auburn or Florida come calling one day, you have to be realistic--he is probably gone. You just have to build the program to the point where another successful coach comes along.
I like our chances in the Sunbelt this year and I think we beat ULM. The losses on defense don't matter, because our defense wasn't very good last year, so with the transfers, I think we improve.
And I'm probably biased, but I like our long-term potential to become a power at the mid-major level much better than ULM's.

LA Legislative Act 45
C. The use of the two-letter University of Louisiana abbreviation, “UL,” and/or the phrase “U of L” are prohibited by the university or any of its affiliated organizations (alumni associations, development foundations, bookstores, etc.). For academic, public relations, athletic, as well as other purposes not specified, the use of the University of Louisiana abbreviation must always include the abbreviation for the municipal location of the institution. For example, ULR is appropriate for University of Louisiana at Rayne.

UL-L.
Better coaching, better team, better facilities, better recruiting footprint, better location.
ULM should have stayed in DAA.
lol at all these MAD LSU fans
