This is the rumor I am hearing from good sources (a current member). Also being said they won't even honor the lifetime memberships that were sold when La Tour first opened.

We have been hearing that it was eventually going private but we heard a year. Oh well. Chouest is just buying a tax write off and has a place for his oil buddies to play

A club turning private will never honor things like that. I'd bet they waive initiation fees or lower monthly notes for them tho.

I'll keep it short. It won't work. Won't get the members. In the end he will have a nice property with a dead golf course. Stupid people can have money too

Lol yea. I told them I wanted time to think about because it meant I had to move. I called two days later to turn it down and was never called back. Lol.

I'm sure the initiation fee and monthly dues will be ridiculously high, gotta keep the trash out.

It'll be cane fields again in 5 years
