I bet on La Tech.

Someone else just beat tOSU and La Tech beat that team.

Solid win Tech. The refs were jobbing y'all the whole game. Lol at the big ten announcers calling missed calls and bad calls every time Tech would go on a big run.

La tech is a really young team, too. Speedy smith gone from last year. Nice W. Watched most of it and they look good,

Quit making excuses Buckeye fans. You just got manhandled.

I don't think anyone is really denying that we got beat.

We aren't good and have a team full of freshmen

This isn't a surprise. It's probably the worst team in Thad Matta's tenure at Ohio State.

This. Also, it's not a surprise they're selling alcohol in the entire arena this year... fans are going to need it this season.

I watched it to see what Tech had this year. Point blank tOSU is lucky that this wasn't a 20+ point loss. Until the final minute it was egregiously one sided call wise. The Big Ten network announcers called out obvious travels, balls clearly off tOSU that went back to tOSU, and several instances where they stated Techs coach had reason to be upset over a call. It will be interesting to see what tOSU does this year, if they can finish top 3 or 4 in the B1G it could be huge for Techs RPI. If Tech continues to play like last night though I don't think they will have to worry about RPI other than seeding for the tournament though.

I still worry about Tech's lack of bigs. McRee can play but they are THIN at 4 and especially 5. Nice win though, glad to see hey didn't tank after Mike White left.

I'd love to get the Buckeyes fans take on the officiating in the contest. I went to the thread on the conference USA message board and everyone pretty much agreed the refs were trying to bail out OSU big time.

Barely watched the first half then went and played xbox. I understand this is your superbowl though.

Hardly, I'd say the win over Oklahoma last year was more impressive.

Not only was Memphis bringing the pain at the beginning, they were getting extremely lucky with shots bouncing their way, and a ton of foul calls (not necessarily bad ones). When Tech adjusted and Memphis's momentum slowed, Tech didn't seem that much worse and cut the lead from 25 to 17, which could've been down to ~10 if Tech could make any free throws. Tech isn't 100% out of the game, still a chance to make it competitive. My live stream cut out, though, so I'm not sure what's going on now.
