I don't think there's a ton of $ to be made this year. Favorites seem consistent.

Watched madefromlucky's work and am glad they decided against the derby. The rider on Stanford had a tight hold and seemed to be waiting for lucky to keep up.

This means keen ice is in. I will possibly throw him into my exactas.

I think he's being forgotten about so we'll get a good price on him. Canadian has been at keeneland and says they clear the track for him to train

Yeah there were some shots of him training earlier today I believe.

I was hoping to get to the Downs next week to watch some of those guys run but work is going to squash that possibility.

American pharaoh had a great work today. The camera only picked up the end and the gallop out, tough

Good news is the weather looks to be good. Dry, sunny, mid 70's.

Big three looks awfully strong. I think the horse that won in Dubai is worth a look, though.

I have a five dollar future pool 2 ticket on El Kabier at 39-1. So there's that.

I love muubtahij (sp?). Go back and watch his maiden win as a 2 year old against older.

I've got the same el Kabeir bet you have

One on him and one on firing line and one on keen ice. I was bored.

Calvin will be on El Kabier for the Derby. Stranger things have happened (Twilight Zone theme plays in the background)!

I have a soft spot for gray scat daddy babies. I still follow frac daddy. He's back galloping again.

Best crop of 3 year olds I've seen in a long time. Excited to see Dortmund and Firing Line run.

Absolutely none unless you play a bomb in a tri or super and they somehow hit the board.

I still hate Dortmund

I disagree that there's no money to b made. I think there is a ton of speed in this race. There is a good chance that they go too fast and open it up to a horse off the pace at a price. I just don't know who that is yet?

I disagree also. I'm looking at throwing Dortmond out. Will wait and see after drawing. Betting could be split enough that a tri bet with the big three could pay pretty well. Maybe 8-5, 5-1, 6-1?

Dortmund will be tough to beat if the post draw is reasonable.

I like Mubtaahij and Materiality to pay decently.

Not worth predicting until the post draw.

quote:

Here’s how it works for Mubtaahij: The flight de Kock referenced Thursday was bound for Amsterdam. There, Mubtaahij will change planes and fly to Chicago, take a short van ride from O’Hare Airport to Arlington, and spend two days there in the USDA-certified quarantine facility. De Kock said he might keep Mubtaahij at Arlington an extra day or two, but one way or another, he then will travel by van to the Skylight training center in Goshen, Ky., and be based there until the Tuesday before the Derby, when de Kock will send him on to Churchill Downs.

yeah, good luck with that bet.
