Does he really stick out his bottom jaw like ESPN claimed a few years ago, I guess comparing it to Jordan's tongue wagging, or was that just made up. Granted I don't watch all his games but I never see him do that. Seems manufactured by ESPN, IMHO.

The guy who wrote that is a strange character. I almost feel like he probably covered the team, or another team, and Kobe kind of shrugged him off and he got his feelings hurt.

Not at all. I don't know of another article he's written about basketball. He's written some excellent excellent articles on tennis, and the website he writes for (other than Grantland) is a soccer website.

You can find the articles he wrote for Grantland below. He is somewhat odd I suppose, but I think he's a good writer.

No bias there.

All time great and one of the best we've ever seen obviously, but he has no argument whatsoever for GOAT, not even an argument for Lakers GOAT.

I think Magic is right up there as Lakers GOAT.

I'd take Jordan over Kobe. Sure Kobe has greatness but his being a dick sure takes away from it. Hell if you can't get along with Shaq you might be the problem.

He's a total fraud. He's a suburban rich kid who grew up in Europe who is conning people into thinking he's some icon of Keeping It Real. He's the epitome of a selfish player, and his teams only won because of the greatest coach ever and the presence of the best center in the league.

Enjoy your money and your loneliness. Made your bed, lie in it. Kobe wishes he had an ounce of the Iceman's style.

Buttraping a white chick did give him some street cred IMO.

I feel like it was probably more of just a "slipped one past the goalie" situation. And who hasn't done that a few times?

Do the fourth and fifth titles of Kobe's career not count? This is probably the most pathetic thing you have ever posted on here.

In a very rare defense that I'll make of Kobe, if you're the super intense type, being a teammate of Shaq had to have been frustrating as hell sometimes.

Almost every team that wins a title is a team full of all-stars!!!

That is why they are champions. I really do not see how people devalue something so obvious and tangible. I guess Wade and Bosh should return their two rings because Lebron was their best player.

The Kobe argument feeding off Shaq is stupid because Kobe haters use that to claim that he is got all five titles (always a team accomplishment for everyone). First three do not count because of Shaq. Then, they act like Gasol was Shaq 2.0. Gasol was obviously great and a top 15 player at the time, but Kobe was clearly the best player on the best team that won two titles.

Furthermore, maybe Lebron's titles do not count because he was on a super team. You know what, Jordan is not a winner because he was carried by a superstar cast and the GOAT coach. Don't even get me started on Bill Russell. He was always gifted the best team.

Dude, it is a fricking terrible argument all around. Titles are a team accomplishment for anyone.
