quote:

Team owner Vivek Ranadive is under the impression that Hield has the potential to be like Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, sources told ESPN's Baxter Holmes. Ranadive - who has an affinity for shooters - has apparently been high on Hield for a while, having attended his pre-draft workout.

Baxter Holmes? @BaxterHolmes Source familiar w/ Kings’ thinking: "Vivek thinks Buddy [Hield] has Steph Curry potential.” Am told that fixation was a key driver in deal.

Vlade looked utterly defeated.

That owner is a crazy person.

Apparently Sacramento had a better deal, picks wise from Dallas, but Hield was what made the deal go through for NO.

The infatuation will be their downfall.

I love buddy, he has a charisma that makes him so easy to root for, but beat case was McCollum and even so that's hard to achieve. Even harder if he doesn't have ad

There should be a certain level of basketball knowledge required to own an NBA franchise. This guy is clueless. He's going to run the franchise into the ground.

Ok, so Dallas was the other deal? Thought we may not find out what that better deal Vlade was talking about

He also tried to get the Kings to play 4 on 5 on the defensive end with one player staying on the offensive end.

He is playing chess while the rest of the league is playing basketball.

gonna assume it was:
Seth Curry (better version of current Buddy)
Deron Williams (better tyreke)
Dorian Finney-Smith (youth SF)
Harris or Barea (filler $$)
2017 1st round pick unprotected

No, it's like saying a rookie who averages 8ppg and has the worst +/- on a team that's 23-34 could be better than a reigning 2 time MVP.

Now post their minutes. I don't get the buddy hate. I was stoked when the pels got him and think he has a bright future, but overall this was trade rape.
