No, he wouldn't. He'd give Mayweather a chance to close his career with a KO victory, but that's about it.

I find it hard to believe that TMT would even want this fight.
It's probably the highest-money fight available at this point, even though Khan is not worthy of getting the fight.

Khan's self-confidence combined with his lightning fast combinations will make it interesting.
Like Pacquiao's self-confidence and lightning fast combinations - the ones he was never able to get off? Mayweather would have to stand in front of Khan in order for Khan to hit him, and we all know Mayweather isn't standing in front of anyone. Khan's chin is too weak to survive 12 rounds of frustratedly chasing Mayweather around the ring. He'll get caught and be KO'd.

Khan is not an elite fighter. He had a lot of potential when he first came up but he has dropped hard since then. If he is the one that gets the shot against mayweather he will get beat. 12-0 and never look like he is in it.

Pacquiao hasn't been the confident, combination punching dynamite since 2012. He was super cautious against Rios and Bradley. He was aggressive against Algieri but lets face it, Algieri can't crack an egg with his fist.

I knew Floyd would pick Manny apart rather easily. Back in 2010 I said Floyd would KO Pac if they fought. But with both of them declining and Pacquiao being more cautious, I said this time that Floyd would simply outclass him.

Amir Khan, at this point, is a pretty good welterweight who knows his hand speed can cause Floyd some problems. Unlike Pacquiao, Khan has a huge frame and can fight from the outside. Plus, he's actually slightly taller than Floyd and nearly matches him in arm length. As bad as Khan has been in the past, he's actually developed into a solid fighter with Virgil Hunter.

Styles make fights.

I'm not saying Khan wins or makes it a close fight thru 12 rounds....what I'm saying is Khan will put up a fight and make it fun to watch. I think Floyd will stop Khan with a straight right or left hook. But until it happens, I think it'll be one of the more entertaining Mayweather fights. I could see Khan giving Floyd a lot of trouble in the first 4-5 rounds, but then as soon as Floyd makes his usual adjustment, it's good night Amir Khan.

Lol

What people don't want to watch is two FedEx drivers grappling. Mayweather is a world class athlete. If he fights, the PPV will be huge.

which would still make it one of the most boring fights of all time. too many people burned on this last Pussy Pay View bullshite. Could have bought lifetime subscriptions to 3-5 porn sites and still not seen as much jerk off bullshite as in that fight.

Like the MMA fighter said, "It looked more like a business transaction than a fight." Maybe Pacman will do something good with the money.

I'm more interested in watching Mayweather blow all his cash and end up living in a flop house. I think this is an area he could actually exceed Tyson in.

Keep dreaming!!! Been a multimillionaire for over 10 years and hasn't blown it NOW add over 150million just earned to the 200million he reportedly has!! NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! He even made PACQUIAO rich!!

no he wouldn't

also it would be a even shorter turnaround time for Khan bc fights at the end of this month and won't be really be able to train for some of this summer due to ramadan if this is going to be a september fight.

Why don't you google the list of the biggest gates in Boxing history. Why don't you count the number of times Mayweather is on there. I get that some of you hate him, but it's ridiculous to argue that there is "no public interest" in seeing him fight. The Khan fight would be a top 10 gate of all time.

But the fight won't happen. Khan could beat Mayweather and the I'm pretty sure he wants to retire undefeated. I don't even like him, but he doesn't have anything left to prove and may as well walk off with his legacy intact. I mean he just literally said that he no longer loves or enjoys boxing and that he no longer even watches the sport.

Saturday night, Floyd stood in the pocket for 75% of the fight. The same as he does in every fight.

Anyone who has seen Khan knows he cuts and swells up very easy. Mayweather would have a field day counter punching him.

People are disappointed in the moment, which is understandable. But boxing is not going anywhere.

Sure, if you count all the time he spent backing up, flinching back, holding, etc. as "in the pocket."

It's true that he's hard to hit no matter where he's standing. But I disagree if you think he stood in the pocket for 75% of that fight.
