God, no shite.

Yeah I'm sure KD can't wait to go be part of a rebuild in a market with 5x the scrutiny he currently has.

He either signs a one year with OKC or HD goes to SA. He would fit perfectly in SA and I can't think of what Pop could do with those three players.

So he's going to take $50 million less to be Kawhi's sidekick?

He's already made over a $100 million from his NBA contracts and his shoe deal could be worth $300 million. I don't think he leaves this year but leaving $50 million on the table may not be a big deal to him.

Dude that is a ton of money. Unless they completely fall apart next year, smart money says he stays. He'd be 33-34 at the end of that deal, and almost for sure would sign for less elsewhere to try to nab a ring if OKC can't get it done.

If Durant went to San Antonio he would be really close.
If Durant went to LA Clippers he would be really close.
If Durant went to Miami he would be really close.

I don't get why some of you are saying "he is really close" as a reason to stay in OKC. He would be close in several places.

Probably lose out in the first two rounds. You know like he has the last two seasons.

I think the biggest question is will he be willing to be a sidekick on a Warriors or Spurs team? I tend to think not.

And if that's true, where does he go that's a better current situation, knowing full well he just sacrificed $50mil guarenteed to do so?

Well he looks like a quitter if he goes to SA especially. I don't see any good reason why he would choose one of those teams over OKC besides lifestyle.

Edit: clippers could be the sleeper nobody is talking about, not sure how he gets there with their cap situation but kd likes la but needs to be on a true contender in his prime

It's a ton of money to me and you. Do you really believe he's gonna look back and care if he made $530 million or $580 million during his career?

If he's leaving a bad situation for a good one, sure. But no other team is worth giving up that money to get out one year early unless he's a huge liar and hates Oklahoma.

Ibaka no longer plays D like he used to. The Thunder need an inside presence and another scorer. Don't be surprised when Noah reunites with his former coach and it resparks his career. Noah fell of but he's still damn active on defense, can pass, and sets great screens. Ever since Ibaka found a 3 point shot which isn't really good he plays like a wing and lost what made him Iblocka.

Steven Adams with an emerging inside game and Noah covering his defencies with weak side help D would give OKC a nice inside duo.

The plan all along has been to reunite with Reggie Jackson and join tFW.

I completely agree on Ibaka. That ship has sailed and we need go flip him for a two-way 2/3.

Kanter, for all his defensive liabilities, would be fine at the 4.

Eta: I also have wondered about guys like Noah, Horford, and Brewer with regards to would they be willing to reunite with Billy.
