But Joseph's biggest personal achievement may have come closer to home. As he posted on his Instagram account, Joseph bought his mother her "dream house" in central Florida, fulfilling a promise he made to her while in the eighth grade.
"He comes from very humble beginnings," Joseph's agent, Chafie Fields, told TMZ Sports. "Ultimately, his goal was being able to provide for his mom.
"He didn't want to buy himself a car. He didn't want to buy himself a house. He wanted to get his mom a house."
Joseph, whose rookie contract is worth more than $11 million, grew up in central Florida after his family moved there from Haiti. He was with family in Haiti when the Raiders selected him in the draft.

Good for him, I would do the same thing if I were remotely athletic and got a multimillion pro deal. He bought an asset outright, and in Florida, he'll have that house no matter how poorly he manages his money.
Family first.
Family first.

I don't know who he is, but that's a great story. He would have more money if he didn't hire an agent.

KJ was a class act at WVU. He might've been a top five pick if not for his injury.

Great player at WVU. Thanks for the story.

He bought a house for his mom. You are aware that it is an asset that could appreciate. This is likely not a financial blunder that will bankrupt him.
