Moronic defense. It's akin to the British telling Americans to not throw tea in the harbor or agitate for the freedom of America, because people in lesser countries have it worse.
So damn hypocritical and short-sighted.

So damn stupid
Someone should enslave you family. Your children. Rape your wife in front of you, then tell you it works out for you because you know... they feel that way.

Another stupid a-hole, because he can throw a football. Grow some balls and think about "real Americans". Those young men and women in uniform,

There was nothing wrong with what I said. I wasn't condoning slavery, nor was I trying to write off what they went through as insignificant. But you can't deny the silver lining.
Don't be an overly sensitive SJW-type.

Insecurity? Seriously? How can you say that in light of their history?
Easy. Literally every single event, holiday or happening in this country has someone speaking out as if it's solely derogatory towards blacks.
Slavery happened. Then ensuing 100 years of mistreatment also happened. Racism still exists and everyone should always be working towards equality, however people are blowing it ENTIRELY out proportion.
This notion that we aren't far from where we were 50 years ago in terms of race relations is absolute horseshite. The victim mentality is a glaring sign of insecurity TODAY. Kaep has ZERO reason to keep picking at the wound. It's people like him who stir the pot and cause problems and actually make relations WORSE.

Again, at no point did I condone any of it. But yeah, quick reactionary comments to a post you probably didn't even thoroughly read seems par for the course on this board.

They aren't any more American than the next person with a US passport.
Since when do we have distinctions about who is a real
American or not ?

No they aren't-- those are all by products of systematic discrimination.
Screwing every dude on the block?
Robbing people for shoes, chains, etc.?
Nice try. These asswipes aren't stealing milk and bread.

Who is making Kaepernick stay in the United States? If he really doesn't like it here, by all means let him move.
This isn't a case of trying to make things better, if you aren't liking the way things are, it is a case of his just complaining. You aren't going to make the US better by taking away a holiday that celebrates the birth of the nation.
And who is to say his very ancestors were products of slavery? Weren't there blacks to emigrate to the US post the Civil War? He could be of that ancestry.

Ill say this...his intentions are good but some of his moves are ehhh questionable. Celebrating or learning about where his people were shipped off from on that day could be symbolic to him. To him, maybe the 4th resembles the day his ancestor lost their true freedom. Not sure why he couldn't say that any other day, but I can guarantee you many americans don't hold the 4th up as the pure, and holy holiday it is portrayed to be.

I would bet that he has traced his lineage back to a plantation.

Then you and all of those people can eat a bag of AIDS dicks. All of you are a bunch pussies that can't comprehend why you have the freedoms you enjoy today. Slavery was awful. No one disputes that. But is that the excuse for the black population producing such shitty statistics when it comes to absent fathers, murder rates, etc? How long are you going to use that excuse? Suck it the frick up. The fricking Jews were being literally erraticated from earth. Today they don't hate all Germans. Grow the frick your and stop doing stupid shite. Stop having kids you can't afford. Stop murdering each other. Just fricking stop. It's not that hard really.

see though, I've seen people not take off their hats, fail to stand, talk/laugh while the anthem played before though.
I know some random person's actions at some game at an obscure location won't get people bent out of shape but it does happen.
and sadly.. I'm sure a handful of those folks would be the first to attack Kaepernick for what he's been doing.
I'll never know where he's coming from but he also could use a lesson on respecting those who have given up way more than he has (as could I). I'm not talking about money.. not fame.. I'm talking about life.
