Justin Anderson of UVA just under went appendectomy

He was out after breaking finger and was expected to be back for ACC tourney. Today it was announced that he will be undergoing an appendectomy.
Serious hurt to UVAs chances in the March tourney. That kid was a serious baller and a big reason why we only have one loss so far this season.
I would question whether we get past the sweet sixteen at this point without him

He won't be back? That's basically an outpatient surgery now.

Depends on if the appendix is bursting or about to.
Doctors waited until the last minute to take mine out and I was out of it for 3 weeks.

That's what I was thinking. Appendectomies don't take 2 weeks to recover.

My daughter's appendix didn't rupture but it was leaking. She was in the hospital for six days, four days after that she was doing whatever she wanted.

I can't imagine UVA will expect a guy to play 3 games in 3 days after sitting out with a broken finger for 5 weeks and then having an appendectomy surgery the week before.
I do think it's possibly to ease him into the lineup in the NCAAs against a 16 seed and 8/9 though, with an added week of rest.

When I had appendicitis my appendix was within an hour of bursting but I was only out for 3 or 4 days, and only spent one night in the hospital. Recovery time all depends upon if his appendix burst or not. If it didn't, theoretically he should be fine in a few days.
