I know it's only UCONN, but damn that's cheap. If UH gets into the Big 12, how much will it change their fan support?

Side note: it would be hard to argue that UH is Herman's 'dream job' when they are a top 5 team and can't fill their small stadium against an opponent they lost to last year.

Just about every college team is having issues filling stadiums

I got a ticket to an Air Force game vs Wyoming for 50 cents a couple years ago.

Good question. I looked it up. And Yes! I can drink. So this might not be as cheap as I hoped...

The game is sold out, but UConn isn't exactly OU, FSU, or Louisville.

I would go hoping to peep coeds but it is a commuter school, and likely will have a poor student attendance on a Thursday. Doubt popularity gets too big, probably the reason they don't get into Big 12 is that Texas A&M, LSU and UT already have a stronghold on that city. Houston will always be 2nd/3rd tier in their own city.

Houston has lots of sports options, my guess is UH is low on the pole for most.

It's not as much of a commuter school as it used to be and a large chunk of the attendance each home game consists of students. It's the alumni that have been an issue, which is why the game is so cheap to attend.

I'll let you know how the coed scene is. Probably not half bad. I've been in houston for a few years now and was told not to go to that side of town that UH is at, so this will be my first experience. At worst, my buddy and I will be out less than $10.

He did say "just about"; if you watch crowds when TV pans them, a lot of stadiums have prime seats sitting empty.

of course tiger stadium would be full what else is there to do in baton rouge, in houston there's plenty of stuff to do tonight besides watch a college football game vs a mediocre school

true, but there's also less of a bandwagon mentality in Baton Rouge...

So what other Houston team is playing tonight that most people are spending their $6 leisure money on? I would think that having a top five team might garner a little "hey it's something to do" interest.

And if it's a decent sized school there should be a lot of alumni living in the area.

Yes, but would the fans still leave at halftime?

I wonder what the LSU fan reaction would be if Herman loses to a shitty UConn team two years in a row.
