in houston there's plenty of stuff to do tonight besides watch a college football game vs a mediocre school
I love this response.
But in all honesty, I'd bet my next paycheck that virtually every person in Houston is going home, sitting on their couch, and watching TV just like everyone else in the country. And Houston sucks. If the "there's so much to do in X" excuse was legit, why are Boston, NYC, and Chicago such great sports towns?

It's UCONN more shite to do in Houston on a Thursday night

bullshite. Tiger Stadium would be full and then some if you could get $6 tickets even against UConn
People were literally having trouble giving away prime seats for the Jacksonville State game.

For a city Houstons size, there really isn't "so much other stuff to do" on a Thursday night.

Top golf, turtle racing, or maybe an Astros game

Houston sucks. Baton Rouge sucks. What is there to do in Houston? Go to one of their many chain restaurants?

Sounds like a couple of people who don't know shite about Houston.

Houston frick bois are the easiest to rile up. I lived in midtown for a year and it sucked

Lol wut?
People give away lsu tickets to shite games all the time

UH also has a ton of commuter students that go to school while working and living at home. Nothing wrong with that, just not going to produce as rabid of a fanbase.

As an fellow lsu fan, our fans have this strange idea that the reason our stadium isn't packed every Saturday is because the blue collar fans have been priced out. Tiger stadium isn't full for SEC match ups, I'm not sure in what world a Thursday night game against UCONN would result in a full stadium.

These threads are great - especially when you tune into an LSU game and see the stadium half empty at HT
