Four major stat categories and he is the all-time leader in two of them. By huge margins.

Probably not even in the top 3 best white players.

Bob Pettit, Larry Bird, Dirk Nowitzki, Jerry West were all better.

Bird didn't have to play in Jordan's era. Bird could score, no doubt, but Stockton is all time assists and steals leader.

You don't get any more well-rounded than that.

Stockton had to play mostly against colored folk. Jerry West couldn't cut it in the nineties.

Petit would have been a good eighth man.
