really is crazy how surprised some ppl are by this. when we take his effeciency from last year and increased the possessions he is involved with , these numbers are similar to what we would expect.

as a stat guy, I'm exciting to see if he can keep up this pace

you'd guess the main reason they grabbed him was to ensure the 2 asian guys who watch the NBA remained Rockets fans (who only started watching b/c of Yao)

Those '2 Asian dudes' now account for 52 million Chinese followers on social media, and approaching a fifth of all league revenues, with 10% annual growth conservatively expected for the foreseeable future.

I was actually kind of surprised someone discounted the Asian NBA viewerbase. They are basketball crazy

it's not about who is better because they need Ibaka's size and defense. If anything we might be saying they should have gone with harden instead of westbrook but it's still way too early to think that

A 2 week run got him paid from the Rockets and their fans think he is good.

Actually most of my friends were not crazy about the signing and wanted to keep Dragic. 3/25M is a lot in the real world, but its really not in the NBA. Lin is not a top 15 PG, but he's good enough to start and he's young, so it is possible he can improve.

Getting Harden is huge. He's only 23 and gives them someone to build around. No one thinks they will make a deep run this year. But they could be a 7-8 seed and are moving in the right direction. They have cap room next year. They aren't going to be able to get a superstar, that's obvious but they can build a good team using the Pistons model. We'll see how it works out, but as a Rockets fan, its the first time since 2008 to be excited. If Johnny Jones can get LSU back up, basketball will be fun again

He doesn't really offer size. 6'10 230-240 isn't that big. He's a great help defender/shot blocker, but he isn't that great 1 on 1.

Harden is leading the NBA with a 41.0 PER. Kyle Lowry is second at 37.7

With the Rockets getting Harden and LSU getting a commitment from Jarell Martin, last week was the best basketball week I've had in a while

So much fail.

Ibaka has long arse arms and big arse hands. That's the size they are talking about. He plays more physical than his weight too. He's a damn good on ball defender. That's saying something because most guys his size are just trying not to be embarrassed one on one.
