We've had this discussion many times, but I think the MVP is the person who provides the most value, and the best player in the league provides more value than anyone else.

Not a fan of when I call out your hypocrisy/flat out wrongness based on the numbers you like to use, I get it. It's cool.

He was the MVP. Impressive how well he held that team together with Dwight out a bunch and a lot of new pieces.

Westbrook would be in the conversation too if OKC could have made the playoffs.

Curry's GS squad was loaded and healthy. Dumb that he won it.

Why would a guy be penalized for his teammates being healthy?

Let me do some quick math for ya bro since you don't seem capable of doing it on your own.

Howard missed 41 games.

He averages 32 mpg being conservative.

Thats 1312 Minutes.

His win share per 48 in HOU is .154

1312 * .154 = 202.05 Take that and divide by 48 and you get 4.21 ... Pretty close to 5 wins if you ask me.

Now that's if you go by win shares.

Or you can throw win shares out the window and know just by watching the games that Dwight howard has more of an impact on wins that Jrue Holiday. Or 41 games of Howard v 13 games of Davis.

So, you admit saying 5 is a conservative estimate is wrong, is that what you're saying? If so, I agree.

Now do AD and Jrue and tell me how far over 5 games it goes, and then explain why you ONLY agree with the one that supports the HOU player but using the exact same calculations for the Pels players, you don't agree with.

Soooo boxed in right now.

I'm close to having an entire page of bookmarked posts by you and it's not even August.

I tend to wonder if Curry is kind of like Carmelo is on Team USA. Could Curry carry a bad team? An injured team? Can Curry light it up on a really great team?

If you need one player to help lead a bad team to the playoffs, where are you taking Curry?

Focus more on the "being loaded" part.

Ask yourself this: if Curry was running last year's Houston squad, would they have finished that well?

As is the case unfortunately in most major sports, MVP awards almost always end up being a team award.

Behind Lebron, KD, Harden, and Westbrook, in that exact order.

Problem with this thinking is that the he led the league in real +/-

Oh HOU had no other injuries? Oh I must've forgotten that they were the probably the 2nd most injured team in the league last year to get that last .79 victories out of ya.

Nope sorry, do your own work bro. but while you're at it do OKC to show how far ahead of the Pels they would've finished with full health. then come back and make the same tired argument that the pels still would've been a playoff team without the okc injuries.

So you think Curry could have at worst equaled Harden's Houston performance?

Maybe not, but I also dont' think swapping Harden onto Golden State means GS wins more than 67, so I'm not sure that any of these hypotheticals mean anything.

Harden would have wrecked shite on that GS squad.

Shel basically said what I would say. That Warriors team fell apart when Curry wasn't on the floor, especially in the playoffs.

That's not the argument YOU made, so why would you try to change it?

You said Dwight only nets you more than 5 wins, conservatively, what does any of the rest of the injuries have to do with that statement?

Nope sorry, do your own work bro
Don't have to, we both know it's higher than 4.21, but you won't even touch trying to explain that away, will you?

OKC woulda been better than the Pels, BOLD TAKE!!! Whoe ver said they wouldn't? Why are you bringing up all these things that no one is talking about or have any relevance to anything at all?
