This segment on the ESPN Draft Show of Winston with Harbaugh and Jedd Fisch is fascinating.

Harbaugh is his usual super serious self and watching Winston's face it is obvious the reality of the things he has done and the embarrassment of it all has really set in.

I recommend watching it if you have the chance

I thought it was pretty telling that he sat there and lied about everything. Fisch was trying not to laugh at him. "Hey uh, let's try not to hide things that...everybody knows about bruh."

I only saw a preview of it, but it looked like when they asked him about getting arrested he only mentioned the BB gun situation. Did he eventually own up and mention the crab leg incident too?

He wasn't arrested for that.

I've only seen what you've seen.

And I don't feel like this it nitpicking....

Were the squirrels hiding behind windows and shite? Because he said the only time he's been in trouble is when I got on a bench and said something wrong. Oh and that one time cops screwed up and thought he had an assault rifle but no biggie he was just huntin' squirrels. And apparently fricking up other peoples' property to the tune of around $8,000. Oh yeah and the crabs.

He said the FHRITP thing was his only incident in college. Harbaugh had to then ask..."Uhm, nothin with cops?" That's when he said he hunted squirels. Then the other guy had to hold back laughing because of the "elephant in the room."

I'm taking him #1 for sure, but I think he's got some serious character flaws.

That's a cute comeback for an FSU fan when someone screws up and claims Winston was arrested for the crab shite.

Harbaugh was obviously trying to get him to talk about his stupidity in college....TO HELP HIM FOR WHEN IT ACTUALLY HAPPENS....and he did everything in his power to cover everything up.

yeah it was really weird seeing Winston go through all of that

of course this was filmed quite a while back in February so I am sure Winston is far more media savvy now than he was then

I cant help but get the feeling that Winston is one of the dumbest smart guys in the world

I was about to ask when the interview happened. I'm sure he's much more skilled at addressing those questions now.

From what I can tell he's just very immature. Like a big child. He definitely has some growing up to do.

He left it out completely, and when they called him on it he tried to pull the "oh yeahhh....THAT" routine. No mention of the other elephant in the room.

Wasn't trying to be cute. Just mentioned it for the sake of accuracy. If we're speaking specifically about arrests he doesn't have to own up for an arrest that didn't happen.

I don't know about Florida's law regarding expungements, but that could be the reason for his attempt to avoid the answer.

i believe the question was "tell us about your disciplinary issues, and any incidents with police" or something similar..... and he omitted completely the crab legs, and assault accusation.

it definitely wasnt "have you ever been arrested, and formally charged......"

itd be less boneheaded if the dude wasnt on ESPN for all these incidents. playing dumb on something not widely reported might skate by, but dear lord man.....

Yeah, not saying it was a smart move playing dumb. Just that he might have remembered something his lawyer told him about expungements.

It seems clear now that he's got some coaching about how to handle these questions.

(In LA, once you get something expunged, you don't have to disclose that arrest.)

I didn't mean you. It's exactly what my FSU buddies come back with when someone argues about Winston being arrested. Then they act like Winston is a God.

All well and good for petty crime at an anonymous interview but if you are applying for a job with a high level background check and you've been plastered all over every news station for years.... Go ahead and play dumb when directly asked and see where it gets you
