Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is "seriously considering" staying in school for another year, reports Yahoo Sports' Rand Getlin.

Winston's father told ESPN earlier Tuesday that the redshirt sophomore will wait until next week to announce whether he will declare for the NFL draft.

He's a model QB with great heights ahead of him.

Any chance it would have something to do with NFL teams saying that his attitude is atrocious and, since Manziel came in with a shitty attitude and work ethic and barely played at all, the teams might be saying that he needs another year to mature and improve his character a little?

Why not? He can get away with committing crimes in Tallahassee. If he shows a little maturity, it could boost his draft stock. And it's fun to be in college, especially if you don't have to worry about money or your future earnings. I wouldn't be in that huge of a rush to play for a bad NFL team either.

He's starving while living at FSU though, having to commit crimes just to eat at night.

Why do I get the feeling you would've said this if the rumors were about him declaring?

no he isn't.

The knock on him is maturity issues. So he's been advised to float rumors about him staying in school in order to make him look as though he's willing to stay and work hard in school for another year, rather than bolt for the money.

They might say that but someone would still take him in the top 5.

Right?

It's like coaching a supremely talented five year old.

Because you are probably assuming that my reason has something to do with something else other than athletic ability and intelligence.

I can't blame him.

Only lose 1 game as a starter in 2 seasons and it was your last game of career and a beatdown? That would leave a bad taste in my mouth and would have a hard time ending my college career on that.

maybe he is looking forward to baseball this year at FSU and if he declared he obviously wouldn't have the time for both that and prepping for the draft?
