Mediocre Quarterback

He is 18, threw for almost 3000 yards, accounted for 35 TDs, completed 63%, and had a QB rating of 140.

You can hate Alabama if you want, but you just made yourself a clown.

And, it was Saban's "all-time best" defense that lost the game in the final minutes.

He may not even start next year. His passing will have to get a lot better now that he's been exposed teams will make him throw.

He was terrible at passing and seeing the field, that is a fact. He isn't a real qb, he is a rb. But I know, black power right?

No, you just made yourself a clown....against good d that forced him to throw, he couldn't. Period. Black power though.

The Lsu game plan and execution was much better. We just couldn't score

It really does amaze me idiots like you that throw out stats. It was clear to the world watching last night he was terrible passing the ball, as he was against Lsu. The difference is there was not an sec officials crew last night. Fact.

Right, a QB who threw for the forth best yards in the SEC at 18, accounted for 35 TDs, completed 63%, and scored the go ahead TD with two minutes to go in the NCG is not going to start next years opener.

Hurts was not the experienced "game manager" Saban is so used to having. He simply was not good enough passing the football to keep the chains moving.

As an LSU fan, I can relate to the struggles of the Bama offense. Like it or not, Saban like to run games very similar to Les Miles. Run it, control the clock of offense and play great defense and special teams.

You are a clueless idiot if you think the Alabama success comes from SEC officials.

He is 18 and 18 year olds have been known struggle at times, but he also lead the team to the TD that put them ahead with two minutes to go.

You don't like stats but you want to use them to tell us how terrible a game he had, clueless clown.

Shhh...don't tell groupee. He will tell you how good hurts is. Everyone else saw what you and I saw. A rb that couldn't play the qb position without bama being allowed to hold.

He's fracking 18 bro!!! He was playing high school ball last season! I guarantee you he'll be a great QB next year. I was amazed at how calm & collected he was

Jalen led Bama to a double digit lead going into the 4th quarter. After the D gave up 2 TDs, down by 4 with 2 minutes left, Jalen breaks off a heroic 30 yard run to get the lead and what should have been the game winner. Dude was clutch.

Hurts is a garbage QB, but that can change. He's only a freshman.

With his legs. He didn't even throw the ball on the biggest pass play of the drive.

Hurts led college football in throws to or behind the line of scrimmage and completes only around 30% of his throws under pressure or beyond 20 yards.

Yes, he's only 18, but he's not a very good passer right now. His own coaching staff realized this and called plays accordingly to help minimize his mistakes.

Posted by Load Toad on 1/10/17 at 8:20 am to ATLTiger Hurts is better QB than any LSU QB played last season. LSU won 1 or 2 more games with him. He is a freshman with huge upside.

Hurts is Anthony Jennings with a better coaching staff on offense.
