Mayweather will destroy McGregor in boxing.

There are sites right now that have Money May at only -1000 so post your betting slip before the fight. You and everyone else who says McGregor has no shot should be putting down as much money as you can for a guaranteed 10% return in less than an hour's time.

Mayweather has booked an arena for the 26th and bookmakers are already paying out on bets people made on if the fight would happen or not so it is pretty safe to assume it is going to be August 26th.

ETA: Actually the NSAC just approved the date for the fight! LINK

ETA: Wooden bat vs wooden bat with a layer of padding... you would rather be hit with the wooden bat? Bare knuckle vs boxing glove?

Lets get this straight......In boxing padding exist....in MMA it doesn't as much. That doesn't negate that McGregor is going to hit harder than ANYBODY Mayweather has ever fought.....

So yes your analogy stands correct....wooden bat with padding......WHAT MATTERS IS WHO IS SWINGING THE frickING BAT.

And you are also negating the fact that the wooden bat with padding weighs more so someone who is stronger can in fact inflict more damage with the wooden padded bat that someone without padding.

So, you would prefer to get hit with the object with more padding in both instances? Interesting.

KO power: bare knuckle > MMA gloves > boxing gloves

Less padding between the weapon (knuckles) and the target (jaw) is going to produce more power.

Conor's KO power isn't going to increase with boxing gloves.

For one, I don't know that to be true. I seriously doubt McGregor could punch harder than Canelo or Cotto.

Two, power means very little if you have shite accuracy or you don't even possess the knowhow to get a clean shot on Mayweather, which world champion level boxers can't do with consistency.

You give me a 27 oz aluminum bat or a 5 lb wooden bat and I'm taking the Aluminum all day to the face.

You give me a 5lb wooden bat and one cushioned that weighs the same amount.....I'm taking the cushioned.....

You think Conor will have more KO power with boxing gloves than with MMA gloves?

The answer will tell me everything I need to know.

Yes.....the question you already posed is will he be able to connect. He has numerous advantageous with MMA gloves and is extremely accurate with his punches.....

Now you gave him padded hammers and asked him to hit somebody.

And you've been hit with MMA gloves?

LINK

Here's the best study I could find. A punch with MMA gloves produces more power and there is less padding between the weapon and the target.

But yeah, Conor will have more KO power with boxing gloves.

And you clearly have never fought in MMA. Not sure how that's relevant to the current discussion, but ok.
