they could probably create a small open air party deck in the affected seats to mitigate the issues.

or they could be dickheads to the students and designate though spots for school bands.

I see what you're talking about now by the press box. There may be some with an obstruction, hard to tell. Place would be great for an MLS team............I know New Orleans can't support that but that's what the stadium reminds me of, and English soccer pitch.

Although I'm an LSU fan, I'll probably check out at least one game. It's easy for me to get there and it would be fun when the weather's nice. I'd like to see Tulane be successful.

I think it could. Aren't Jesters games well attended?

Thanks for the info. I'll be in NOLA for a weekend in the fall, if it lines up with the home schedule I might go catch a game to check it out.

Yes first game is Sept. 6 vs Georgia Tech

Is it going to be ready in time for that one? I know they had a TBA a few weeks ago.

yes, we violated the golden rule of scheduling FCS teams: if you are going to schedule one, schedule a bad one.

That would suck to sit in those seats.

I hope Tulane gets to be a consistent 8-10 win team every year. It would be nice to play them and they be good. I never want to lose to them but a competitve rival would be nice.

They can't sell those seats if they're obstructed as they look. They're in a relatively high donation area as well.
TU is following the MSL pricing model - expensive sideline seating; cheap endzone seating.

I'm pretty sure it's turf. I remember hearing on the radio that it's called Benson Field at Yulman Stadium because he donated the money for the turf.

What's this stadium hold, 20,000?

That's about 4x more than Tulane needs, LOL!

And let's say 20,000 people actually show up- where will they park???

They said they built this because Tulane students werent going to the game because they "had to go all the way to the Superdome". (which is a giant 2 miles from campus)

Folks- the Superdome is a world class facility, air-conditioned for those hot September and October games, and Tulane provided a FREE SHUTTLE for all students between the dorms and the Superdome. Tulane students won't go to these games because THEY ARE NOT FOOTBALL FANS.

I think more people will go because going to a fotball game in an empty stadium is boring as hell. Putting it outdoors, night games, parking in the neighborhood or walking from your home is a hell of a lot better than an empty superdome.
